Today, we’re celebrating an important milestone: One year ago, our #pharma business went public! 🎂📈 On September 28, 2023, SCHOTT Pharma was listed on the Frankfurt Stock Exchange in the most successful #IPO of the year in Germany. Today, we’re looking back on a fantastic day. But more importantly, we’re looking back on the remarkable progress that SCHOTT Pharma has made, including being promoted to the #MDAX within just one year, launching groundbreaking product #innovations such as a larger nest for prefillable polymer syringes or large-volume cartridges for homecare treatments, and expanding production capacities in Europe and the U.S. to meet growing demand. Congratulations to the entire team for this achievement. It’s a testament to the strength and vision of our shared mission to contribute to human #health. 💪

𝗪𝗲 𝗺𝗮𝗸𝗲 𝘃𝗶𝘀𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗮 𝗿𝗲𝗮𝗹𝗶𝘁𝘆 𝘁𝗵𝗿𝗼𝘂𝗴𝗵 𝗵𝗶𝗴𝗵-𝗲𝗻𝗱 𝗼𝗽𝘁𝗶𝗰𝘀 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗔𝗥! Today, we celebrated the successful completion of our state-of-the-art production facility in Kulim, #Malaysia! At the opening ceremony, our Board members Andrea Frenzel and Marcus Knöbel welcomed our dedicated employees, valued customers, and esteemed representatives from the Malaysian Investment Development Authority (MIDA). Our new Kulim facility will significantly expand our production capabilities, complementing our long-standing presence in Penang. This strategic development underscores our commitment to growth and innovation in the region. Some facts about our new site: 👩🔬 We're creating around 400 skilled engineering and production jobs, contributing to the local economy; 🔭 It will enhance our capacity to supply high-quality optical components to international high-tech industries, including #AugmentedReality; and 🚀 Our new plant was completed in less than 12 months. We’re excited to continue our journey in Malaysia, building on a 50-year heritage and growing our regional set-up into a strong innovation hub for optical components. As part of our human rights strategy and in line with our code of conduct, we published our fact sheet on the prevention of child labor as a supplement to our supplier code of conduct, which is being successively distributed to our suppliers. Child labor is a violation of human rights that we will not tolerate under any circumstances. Our aim is to ensure that our supply chain is free from exploitation. The principle of “Respect Others” is at the heart of our corporate philosophy. We attach great importance to working with partners who share the same ethical standards. Our fact sheet is intended to support our suppliers in actively combating child labor, taking preventive measures, and identifying potential risks in their operations at an early stage. It contains clear guidelines and recommendations for action to ensure that children's rights are respected and relevant laws are complied with. Together with our suppliers, we want to create a sustainable and fair future in which every child has the opportunity to grow up safely, go to school, and live free from any form of exploitation. Protecting children is not just a legal obligation, but a fundamental part of our values and responsibility as a global company.
