To draw attention to the work and achievements of female engineers, the International Women in Engineering Day (INWED) is celebrated every year in June. At Rohde & Schwarz, female engineers also took the opportunity to network on and take part in interesting presentations and tours - organized and conducted by other women engineers. The idea was born during a tour of the Rohde & Schwarz Teisnach plant last year, but the topic is around for much longer: we do have a regulars' table for female engineers for ten years. #engineering #Networking #Woman

We're currently conducting an exclusive training course together with our partner International Telecommunication Union #ITU. And so far the event has really been amazing. It gives attendees the unique opportunity to learn more about and deep-dive into #spectrummonitoring. Participants had the unique opportunity to engage with a team of experts from industry and authorities, and were able to work through a range of practical, hands-on sessions. They dove into procedures and recommendations in #spectrummonitoring and gained valuable insights into technical fundamentals related to #wavepropagation and antennas, as well as the operation of receivers, #directionfinders, and software. Since 2014, runners have taken part in the KiHo cross-country race in Bad Grönenbach near Memmingen once a year. This supports the work of the St. Nikolaus children's hospice. More than 500 participants took part this year, setting impressive running times and creating an atmospheric event in favour of Süddeutsche Kinderhospiz-Stiftung. Many companies support the charity run, including Rohde & Schwarz Memmingen. Since 2018, runners from R&S-Messgerätebau GmbH have been at the start in varying line-ups and team sizes; this year there were eight colleagues. Pictures: Ingo Jensen #charity
