Sport and fun for everyone 🏆🎊 On 21 September, the 22nd German Down Sports Festival took place in Wetzlar, the world's largest sporting event for children and young adults with Down syndrome. In various sports, for example running and long-jumping, around 600 participants showcased their talents, while they could discover new disciplines in workshops – from yoga to basketball. The event offered much more than just sporting competition, with thousands of people coming together for the chance to learn, have fun and meet each other. This year, our company Rittal was also present as a sponsor, #Rittal employees volunteered as helpers, and our young talents set up their own station with a handball goal wall they built themselves, where visitors could test their accuracy. At Rittal, #AI has already moved into production. One standout project, "Visual AI," led by Jan Philip Müller and Anna-Lena Hölß, is transforming the visual inspection process at our Haiger plant. 🤖🔍 "Visual AI" integrates four cameras to digitize the inspection process, quickly identifying defects like scratches and missing parts. This system not only speeds up quality control but also reduces human error. 🚀 Young Talent Anna-Lena, who is also studying industrial engineering, scientifically supports this project. The AI learns to recognize specific defects, ensuring each part is checked thoroughly without the need for programming. 🌊 The swell makes passengers on ships seasick, while technical components are particularly affected by the vibrations of the ship's engine: they literally disintegrate into individual parts. 🌊 #Rittal has therefore further developed its Blue e series cooling units for maritime applications and made them seaworthy. The units were put through their paces at Phoenix Testlab GmbH and DNV-tested. This makes them also interesting for dynamic applications on land.   🌊Under the name Blue e dynamic, we will be presenting successfully DNV-tested cooling units for shipping for the first time at SMM Hamburg. 🌍 Henkel and Rittal share a strong focus on sustainability 🌍   As our customers know well, we are constantly striving to enhance our processes, not just for efficiency but also for the environment. Together with our partner Henkel Adhesives, our colleague Marcel Becker has achieved measurable and significant success with a low-temperature cleaning method for metal parts.
