Luftgekühlt in Wrocław Against a historic backdrop – the restored Dworzec Świebodzki railway station in Wrocław – more than 200 of Zuffenhausen’s finest sports cars gathered, with some travelling from as far as Scandinavia and the UK to soak up the special atmosphere. On the road with the members and vehicles of the Big Island Porsche Club: when it was time for the monthly club tour, it was joined by #ChristophorusMagazine. Gunner Mench, the Club President, is at the head of the caravan in his 17-year-old Cayenne S, dubbed the 'mountain goat,' which has 350,000 kilometers on the odometer and is loaded with plenty of water and snacks for the drive. The Danish architect and designer Bruno Jakobsen has realized his self-made dream house, which is nestled in the heart of a green oasis of old trees, lush meadows, and dense shrubs at the very edge of Randers, a port town on the eastern side of the central Jutland region with a population of 64,000. And the Barnhouse Box – a space dedicated to his Porsche 911 S 2.7 Targa (G-Series) – was only just recently finished. Everything in the Barnhouse Box is inspired by the classic 1974 car in Satin Black. The large, illuminated brand lettering bathes the room in a warm light, highlighting the walls adorned with Porsche steering wheels and fire extinguishers, a Fuchs wheel, and the massive rear spoiler of a Porsche 911 Turbo (930). New President and CEO for Porsche Cars Canada, Ltd. Porsche Cars Canada, Ltd. (PCL) announced today the appointment of Trevor Arthur as its new President and Chief Executive Officer, effective October 1, 2024. Arthur brings considerable automotive business management experience to lead Porsche’s continued growth in Canada, as the subsidiary’s new President and CEO. He comes back to his home country following a period of eight years as Vice President, Area West, at Porsche Cars North America. 50 years of #Porsche Turbo and the Transfăgărășan Highway A team of Porsche instructors was on site in Romania to guide the media through their journey on the Transfăgărășan Highway and to assist in getting the best out of the cars. The 300-km route, around more than 160 corners, over 833 small bridges, through five tunnels – and past 15 brown bears – gave the journalists chance to experience the distinctive characteristics and features that make the Turbo models stand out and represent the pinnacle of their respective model lines: from the outstanding chassis dynamics, yielding even greater performance while simultaneously providing an engaging driving experience with quintessential Porsche ‘feel’ and feedback, to the astonishing (and somewhat addictive) power and torque from the turbocharged power units.
