🤔 Reflecting on the ICEC-ICMC conference in Geneva Last week, Mathieu and Ahmad went to Geneva to attend the Cryogenic Engineering Conference hosted by CERN this year. Their goal was to understand the current state of technologies related to cryogenics, learn about new developments, and connect with research institutes and companies working in the field! 🌍 Some insights we've gathered: 💡 We’ve attended fascinating lectures and presentations in cryogenics, particularly around the subjects of process engineering and component development, heat transfer and thermodynamics, material science and solid mechanics. With that, we gained a wealth of new insights. 🗣️ Technical collaboration is also about building personal connections; meeting face-to-face is incredibly valuable for this. 🗃️ Business cards are not outdated yet!  A new face added to our phelas team: Hola Pedro 🙌 With a background in Mechanical Engineering and extensive experience in various industrial sectors, (especially the Oil & Gas industry), Pedro is a seasoned professional! 🔧 Pedro has held roles as a sales, process, and project engineer, as well as an operations and project manager. At phelas, he will support us in the Technology department as a Project Manager. Having lived and worked in The Netherlands, Malaysia, and Spain, he’s excited to add Germany to his map! 🌍 Outside of work, Pedro enjoys playing tennis, padel, and futsal. We finally made it to Geneva! 🌍✨ 🚆After a brief delay, a missed train, and a memorable 15-minute alarm in the Swiss train Mathieu and Ahmad finally made it to Geneva for the 29th International Cryogenic Materials Conference! 🔎 They already caught the first scent of the conference atmosphere at the welcome reception at CERN yesterday.
