With burnout, a lack of learning opportunities, and AI pressures driving job dissatisfaction, the anticipated "#GreatStay" in 2024 might not be as solid as experts predicted. LinkedIn and Microsoft's latest data surveying 31,000 individuals across 31 countries reveals that more people want to quit their jobs in the year ahead than in 2021 (the year of #thegreatresignation). For the US? "85% of professionals in the US are eyeing up a new job this year." However, this could be good news for some companies who lost talent in 2021/2022. "Those who switched jobs in 2022 are now reporting being less satisfied at work than those who stayed put." 80% of those who quit in the Great Resignation now regret it, and may be looking to go back to previous companies seeking better work-life balance.
