Jonas Horlemann hat zusammen mit Mathias Heidinger und Oliver May-Beckmann im "Tagesspiegel Background Verkehr & Smart Mobility" das Thema einer zukunftsweisenden Verkehrsinfrastrukturplanung beleuchtet. 🚴♂️🚇🌍 Horlemann beschreibt eindrucksvoll, wie dringend ein Umdenken in der Planung unserer Verkehrssysteme notwendig ist. Es geht nicht mehr darum, die Infrastruktur an ein erwartetes Verkehrswachstum anzupassen. Wissenschaftliche Vorschläge zeigen, wie wir diesen Wandel gestalten können. Es liegt nun an der Politik, diese neuen Planungsziele umzusetzen und somit die Weichen für eine nachhaltige Mobilität zu stellen. 🌍🚚📦 Shaping the Future of Urban Logistics: Insights and Innovations Despite the soaring summer temperatures, the last week of the summer term saw a remarkable turnout for the insightful session on #UrbanLogistics, led by Max W.ünnenberg and Alexander Bloemer. Their talk, part of the "Future of Mobility" series, showcased the complexities and innovative solutions shaping the future of urban parcel distribution. This session highlighted critical issues like the challenges of the "last mile," the economic and ecological impacts of current logistics models, and the potential of sustainable alternatives such as micro-depots and cargo bikes. Both speakers are actively working on the MCube - Munich Cluster for the future of Mobility in Metropolitan Regions project #InterLog (Integrierte Logistikkonzepte für nachhaltige und flexible urbane Logistiknetzwerke). This project takes an interdisciplinary and holistic approach to developing, testing, and evaluating sustainable and flexible logistics concepts to reduce and shift inner-city delivery traffic.
