"If people decide they want change, then change shall be attainable."
Award Winning Peace Ambassador | ONE Champion (East Africa) | International Relations Honorary Graduate | Virtual Assistant | Certified Professional Digital Conflict Resolution Mediator | Conflict Analyst |
Lessons from Serah Makka the Executive Director, Africa The ONE Campaign during the induction training at Kigali, Rwanda 1. If people decide they want change, then change shall be attainable. 2. As a champion, identify what is not working and SPEAK, PUSH, ORGANIZE until things change. 3. Our work as champions in matters advocacy matters to real people in real places. It is not insignificant. .....So, here's to not relenting, to having allies and to being trained because the journey ahead is long....

Sending a very special and warm welcome to our newest ONE Champions!
Could This Be the Generation Africa Has Been Waiting For? Africa’s youth are raising their voices like never before. From calling for better governance to demanding an end to corruption and advocating for their civic rights, young Africans are leading a powerful movement for change with the Afro-Youth Spring blooming across Africa from Senegal to Kenya, Uganda to Nigeria. Last week, I had the privilege of training and inducting 100 young leaders from 12 African countries into ONE’s Champion Program. These remarkable individuals are now equipped with the tools to drive social change, tackle pressing issues in their communities, and engage effectively with stakeholders. The generation of change has arrived. 🌍✨ #Changemakers DESIRE ASSOGBAVI Serah Makka Ndidi Okonkwo Nwuneli Gloria BOCCO Chinwe Abuwa The ONE Campaign

We want to congratulate IyinOluwa Joshua Ajayi for being this year's Sam Singh Memorial Award winner. Each year, we recognize an outstanding young leader in development policy with this award. The award is dedicated to Sam, our former policy colleague, who passed away in 2020. Her legacy is one of kindness, and the belief in a better, more equal future. Ajayi's writing moved us - with the data of an expert and the heart of an activist, he made a compelling call for his fellow Nigerians to take action for a sustainable future. "We are the architects of our destiny... and the guardians of generations yet to come," he wrote. Click the link to read his award-winning essay. https://lnkd.in/gCAUyJUR
