From sun salutation and downward facing dog to arjuvedic lunch: finding balance through yoga lunch sessions 🧘♀️   Throughout May, June and July, many of our colleagues enjoyed a lunchtime of movement with our yoga lunches. Whether newbie or experienced yogi – there was something for everyone to embrace. In a total of 10 sessions, yoga teacher and nutrition expert Tanja Abels showed us many yoga exercises and gave us insights into different types of nutrition. From stress relief to mindful eating, each session reminded us to value our well-being and nourish ourselves from within.   The importance of health has never been more apparent, and these yoga lunches served as a gentle reminder to prioritize our well-being amidst the hustle and bustle of our workday. As part of the MS&AD Group, with headquarters in Tokyo, we are not only proud to be able to offer our customers insurance cover around the globe, but also to be in constant exchange of knowledge with experienced colleagues worldwide. We grow from these international relationships - both personally and professionally. It is always a great honor for us as MSIGEU to be represented at events with other colleagues from our sister companies. Just last week, colleagues from all over the world came together again in Tokyo for such an exchange. 🎉 The meeting was all about enhancing collaboration and was attended by all Global TENKAI Promoters. The TENKAI Project, initiated by our parent company MSI, aims to facilitate the exchange of expertise on innovative products, services, tools, methods, and ideas. This exchange takes place interactively between MSI and its global entities, maximizing the overall synergy of the Group. Various strategies to even further strengthen the collaborative work were developed in mixed working groups. 🙌 Once again, it became clear how enriching it is to take on the perspective of other colleagues who approach tasks with their own experiences and backgrounds. A joint dinner after the informative workday held the wonderful opportunity for a personal exchange, which strengthened the new bonds between colleagues even more. 🤗 Many thanks to all the participants for sharing their knowledge and contributing to the further success of each entity. And a huge thank you to our colleagues from MSI, especially the TENKAI Secretary Team, who initiated this project and organized the exciting workshop. Our collaboration thrives thanks to the people with whom we organize and carry out our daily work. 🤝 From our dedicated colleagues at MSIGEU, to our loyal business partners and our trusted customers that we have been able to support over the years. Personal contact is particularly important to us as we can continue to build on our strong connection with the market while learning what is driving the industry. With this in mind, it is both essential and always a great pleasure for us to participate in various industry events. Recently, our Region Germany team attended the 5th BTE Dialogue of the Association of Technical Experts (Bund Technischer Experten e. V.) in Berlin, celebrating the association's 100th anniversary with insightful presentations and networking opportunities. 🙌 There are also plenty of opportunities for our colleagues from all other Branches to attend industry events in their local markets. 🌎 Some of our Spanish colleagues recently engaged at the Gen Re Reinsurance Conference discussing industry challenges like indemnity system updates and the possible consequences of increased longevity and growing dependency. We are grateful to be part of an industry that is so close to the pulse of the time. MSIGEU's corporate culture is shaped by our employees, whose individual view of the world also opens new perspectives for us as a company. We are particularly proud of the social commitment of our employees and the projects that we have already established. In Germany we have been organizing Social Days for some time now, most recently in support of a local animal shelter, and we have also become a regular supporter of the Cologne Kältebus. There are also projects of this kind in our Branches. For example, our colleagues from Italy Branch are working with the L'Amico Charly ETS association to protect young people. 💛 L’Amico Charly prevents youth distress through educational projects, assistance and support for at-risk youth. 🤝 They coordinate with the adolescents, their families and schools, promoting the understanding that any kind of distress can be managed within meaningful relationships. The association’s intervention area works as a primary and secondary prevention (management of risk situations) by offering access to a community center, sports activities, psychological support and even job placement assistance. 👩💻 Our colleagues from Italy Branch decided to spend their Social Day with these young people, participating in a "sports competition" as a means of sharing experiences. Every contribution counts and our Italy Branch as well as MSIGEU are grateful to have the opportunity to contribute. Customer event with a twist: Last week, MSIGEU's Region Germany hosted its annual customer event, followed by a table football tournament for its Engineering line of business! Around 50 participants also had the opportunity to discuss business-related topics and share their knowledge and perspectives. The event kicked off with an interesting lecture on wind turbines by Jens Müller-Nielsen of Eologix Sensor Technology, providing exciting and comprehensive insight into the world of wind energy. 💡🙌 Afterwards, several teams competed fiercely for medals and prizes in our table football tournament. Both our guests and the MSIGEU colleagues had a lot of fun and gave all their best, with Team Spain taking first place, closely followed by Team Switzerland and Team Portugal – Congratulations! In line with the European Football Championship spirit, currently taking place in Germany, all teams were named after the EURO 2024 football teams. ⚽🏆   A delicious buffet kept everyone going and the event wrapped up with lots of fun and great business discussions.
