Volker ist gelernter Schreiner, hat jedoch in vielen handwerklichen und kreativen Bereichen gearbeitet. Darunter Metallverarbeitung, Kulissenbau und Museumsarbeit. Seit einem Jahr arbeitet er in Teilzeit als Haustechniker bei Motel One in München. Dafür hat er einen Computerkurs abgebrochen, da die digitale Welt nicht sein Ding ist. Die Anfangszeit war ungewohnt, aber er hat sich schnell eingearbeitet und wurde dabei von seinem Manager unterstützt. Bei Motel One gleicht kein Tag dem anderen. Er hilft überall, wo er gebraucht wird, und hat dabei neue Einblicke in die komplexe Hotelwelt gewonnen: "Unglaublich, wie viele Menschen daran beteiligt sind und welche Logistik dahintersteckt, den Gästen den bestmöglichen Aufenthalt zu ermöglichen. Daher ist es wichtig, dass man sich aufeinander verlassen kann. Genau das ist es, was die One Family ausmacht: Man ist füreinander da." . . Volker is a trained carpenter but has worked in various other hands-on and creative fields, including metalworking, set construction, and museum work. For the past year, he has been employed part-time as a maintenance technician at Motel One in Munich. He left a computer course to take the job, as the digital world isn't really his thing. The beginning was a bit challenging, but with his manager's support, he quickly adapted. At Motel One, no day is the same. Volker helps wherever he's needed and has gained valuable insights into the complex world of hospitality: "It's incredible how many people are involved and how much logistics are required to ensure guests have the best possible experience. That's why it's so important to rely on each other. This is what the 'One Family' is all about: being there for one another."

Bereits zum dritten Mal in Folge konnten wir den Award „Nachhaltigkeits-Champions“ mit der Auszeichnung „Besonders Nachhaltig“ gewinnen. Die Auszeichnung freut uns besonders, weil das Thema Nachhaltigkeit seit vielen Jahren fest in unserer Unternehmensstrategie verankert ist. In der Studie wurde untersucht, welche Unter­nehmen aus Sicht der Verbraucher*innen besonders umweltbe­wusst und ökologisch handeln. Die Auszeichnung unterstreicht erneut unser hohes Engagement in Punkto Nachhaltigkeit. . . For the third year in a row, we have been honored with the "Sustainability Champions" award, receiving the "Particularely Sustainable" designation. We are proud of this recognition, as sustainability has been a core component of our corporate strategy for many years. Das One Foundation Azubi-Stipendium geht in die nächste Runde. Bis zum 18. August 2024 können sich Auszubildende der Gastronomie und Hotellerie für ein Stipendium ab Oktober 2024 bewerben. Mit dem Azubi-Stipendium möchten die One Foundation Auszubildende in Deutschland fördern, die mehr soziale Hürden zu überwinden haben. Alter, Herkunft, Muttersprache, Religion, kognitive und physische Fähigkeiten sowie der Bildungshintergrund spielen dabei keine Rolle. Das Azubi-Stipendium besteht aus einer monatlichen finanziellen Unterstützung und einer ideellen Förderung in Form von Trainings, Mentoring-Programm und dem regelmäßigen Austausch innerhalb der Stipendiengruppe. Until August 18, 2024, apprentices in the hospitality and hotel industry can apply for a scholarship starting in October 2024. The One Foundation aims to support apprentices in Germany who face significant social barriers. Factors such as age, origin, native language, religion, cognitive and physical abilities, and educational background are not considered in the selection process. The apprenticeship scholarship provides monthly financial support and non-material benefits, including training sessions, a mentoring program, and regular exchanges within the scholarship group.
