Die Wirtschaftsbeziehungen zwischen Bayern und China sind eng – und manchmal auch nicht ganz einfach. Deshalb hat Bayerns Wirtschaftsminister Hubert Aiwanger 25 Geschäftsführer chinesischer Unternehmen in Bayern zu einem Austausch eingeladen. Dabei ging es auch um die seit Anfang Juli 2024 geltenden EU-Importzölle auf Elektro-Autos. Für die bayerische Wirtschaft ist China der Handelspartner Nummer eins. Im vergangenen Jahr wurde ein Rekordvolumen von 53,1 Milliarden Euro verzeichnet. 700 bayerische Firmen sind in China tätig. Im Gegenzug haben 500 chinesische Unternehmen in Bayern eine Niederlassung eröffnet. Von 2017 bis 2023 hat Invest in Bavaria 79 Investitionsprojekte aus China erfolgreich im Ansiedlungs- beziehungsweise Erweiterungsprozess begleitet. Dadurch wurden etwa 2.000 neue Arbeitsplätze in Bayern geschaffen.
