    2,000 is our quack-tastic number for July! 🦆 Did you know that the first version of Brandi the rubber duck was made in 2004 for the opening of the First Class Terminal at Frankfurt Airport? Lufthansa placed a rubber duck next to the shower suite with bathtub, which has been very popular ever since. Since then, Brandi has flown around the world as a flight attendant, hiding eggs in an Easter Bunny costume and delighted our First Class travellers in traditional Oktoberfest costumes. This year we present a new version for Pride: we have created 2,000 ducks in the Pride colours for CSD. 🏳🌈   1,000 of these ducks have already made a splash at CSD in Munich, symbolising our commitment to diversity, inclusion and the celebration of love in all its colours.     In today's world, collaboration and shared expertise are the cornerstones of driving innovation and delivering exceptional results.     We are celebrating the first anniversary of our NFT trading card app Uptrip! 🎂✨ The collaboration between Miles & More GmbH and the Lufthansa Innovation Hub was the key to Uptrip's success. By combining our strengths, we were able to develop the app and bring it to market quickly. Since the launch of Uptrip in April 2023, we have reached several significant milestones: → More than 70,000 users have actively converted close to 500,000 boarding passes into over 1,000,000 digital trading cards. → We introduced our in-app marketplace, offering even more opportunities to collect rewards and connect. → We held a successful community event celebrating our anniversary. Users could participate in a scavenger hunt for a chance to win one of three Senator statuses.  → We released an exclusive edition of trading cards for passengers of Lufthansa’s new Allegris product. → We launched a special feature for the UEFA EURO 2024. 🔮 Of course, we are not resting on our success; we have ambitious plans for the future. Looking ahead, sustainability will become a new focus area for us. Additionally, we will be adding more gamification features to enhance your experience and make Uptrip even more fun.     "Journey of Enrichment" 🗺 This was the theme of our Company Offsite we recently held with 250 of our employees. Because at Miles & More we aim to enrich every journey, every customer and our every day of work. Through dynamic workshops and powerful presentations, we explored our strategy 'Shaping Loyalty for Generations to Come', customer centricity and agile working. This event was as much about our dedicated employees as it was about our valued Miles & More members. Our leadership team - Gerald Schloegl and Johann-Philipp Bruns - presented the strategy through powerful visuals and metaphors, taking us on a special journey to explore the true meaning of loyalty today and tomorrow. 🙌🏻   The star 🌟 of the day was the "ampersand" (&) symbolising the magic of merging perspectives and building connections across issues, people and teams. Interactive workshops, team building, Q&A sessions and collaborative sharing all played a part in making the day a success.   We also celebrated four employees who had been with us and the Lufthansa Group for 25 years and bid a heartfelt farewell to Cornelia Sippel, our long-time Event Manager, who will end her illustrious 34-year career this year. The evening ended with a BBQ by the Rhine in Mainz, followed by a night of music and celebration, true to the spirit of our company.   Many thanks to our hosts, Luca Einloft and Bastian Neumann-Semerow, who hosted us with charm and enthusiasm.     Can we take customer loyalty and retention to the next level? - Yes, we can! 💪🏻 Newly registered members of our loyalty programme in Germany are now welcomed with personalized videos via email, making their onboarding experience truly unique. Our colleague Bastian Neumann-Semerow recorded 850 common German first names for their “Hallo” - what a number! 🙌🏻   So why personalized videos, you ask? They increase engagement, improve retention by making Miles & More members feel valued, and drive better response rates and conversions. Personalized videos offer increased engagement by attracting attention and keeping viewers engaged, fostering a deeper connection with our brand. This innovative approach was developed with our partners SEEN and SYZYGY supported by our IT, Digital Touchpoint, Analytics and Marketing teams: special thanks to Lena Stenger, Kristin Moser and Wolfgang Neikes for their dedication and contribution to this project. 🤝   After joining our loyalty programme, new German-speaking Miles & More members receive a welcome email with a link to their own special welcome message.     Redefining the travel experience with Flughafen München and Lufthansa 🚀 Miles & More becomes the loyalty programme at Munich Airport. Members can now earn and redeem miles in around 40 shops, to make every step of their journey more enjoyable. 🧳 The collaboration between Miles & More GmbH, Flughafen München GmbH (FMG) and Lufthansa improves the travel experience with a comprehensive range of offers across the travel chain and retail sector. From 1 July, to celebrate the 21st anniversary of the Lufthansa and FMG partnership and the joint operation of Terminal 2, members will be able to earn 21x miles for two months. This milestone underlines our commitment to providing exceptional value and convenience to our Miles & More members at the new Munich Loyalty Hub. In addition to earning and redeeming miles, members also benefit from other promotions such as mileage vouchers when logging on to the airport's Wi-Fi and personalised offers to make travelling even more enjoyable. "We are delighted to be Munich Airport's loyalty programme and to be able to further enhance the travel experience for passengers," says Johann-Philipp Bruns, Managing Director of Miles & More GmbH.
