Most followers of this page are well aware of the full potential of Additive Manufacturing and luckily, its validation is growing rapidly. In fact, AM has been identified as a strategic technology by the European Union (Art 23 Critical Raw Material Act), as it directly contributes to achieving national and European objectives for a resilient, green and digital industry. At National level, Germany holds a leading position in Additive Manufacturing, thanks also to its technical universities and research institutions that drive innovation and develop skilled professionals. We believe in Germany’s to overcome the limitations of traditional manufacturing methods. However, to ensure the industry’s stable growth, we need political validation. That’s why we have prepared a Position Paper “Paving the way for Industrial 3D Printing: A call to action”, which will be presented at our Annual Meeting. Attendees will have the possibility to join this initiative by signing the paper, helping to elevate the topic’s relevance at political level. We will be discussing this hot topic during a Panel Discussion "Election Time: AM on the political agenda" at our Annual Meeting together with: Werner Loscheider, Head of Division for Construction Industry, Lightweight Construction, and Resource Efficiency at the Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs and Climate Action. With a background in Agricultural Engineering, he has held various leadership roles in economic and tourism policy within the ministry. Britta Teipel, Head of Industrial Policy at the Senate Department for Economics, Energy, and Public Enterprises in Berlin. She has extensive experience in developing and implementing key initiatives like the Masterplan Industriestadt Berlin and Smart City Berlin, driving innovation and industrial growth. Prof. Dr. Dennis A. Ostwald, CEO and Founder of WifOR Institute. A leading expert in macroeconomic analysis, he advocates for viewing health as an investment in societal well-being and prosperity. He holds a PhD from the University of Darmstadt and is a professor at SIBE University. Join the panel discussion to learn more of the political relevance AM covers and why we should all push for its inclusion in the political agenda! 🎤 Presentation: Election Time: AM on the political agenda 📅 Date: October 8-9, 2024 📍 Location: Berlin 🔗 Learn more and secure your last-minute ticket here: https://lnkd.in/e_-xXA_K #WeBoostAM #3DPrinting #AdditiveManufacturing #PositionPaper #PoliticalAgenda #GermanyMakes

Which industry demands the highest standards for flame-retardant materials- Aerospace or Industrial Machinery? Surprisingly, it's the rail sector that places some of the most rigorous requirements on flame-retardant materials, given its critical role in public transport. That’s why we're excited to announce the presentation of a new material at our Annual Meeting: LUVOSINT PPS 9268 BK. Developed by Siemens Mobility and LEHVOSS, this SLS powder offers the highest flame retardency according to the EN 45545-2 standard, meeting tough safety regulations while ensuring sustainability and cost-efficiency across industries like railway, aerospace, and automotive. Leading this presentation will be Marcus Rechberger and Maximilian Kunkel, experts with decades of experience in materials development and Additive Manufacturing: Marcus Rechberger, a civil engineer with over 20 years of experience in materials development, has founded Solid Composites GmbH and currently leading global market development for LUVOSINT® products at LEHVOSS. Maximilian Kunkel, is a R&D Project Manager at Siemens Mobility. Since 2014, he has been instrumental in implementing Additive Manufacturing technologies for the rail sector, while also leading efforts in standardization through the Mobility goes Additive initiative. Join their session to discover the future of flame-retardant materials and how this new solution can enhance production across multiple industries! 🎤 Presentation: Flameretardency: A breakthrough Material 📅 Date: October 8-9, 2024 📍 Location: Berlin 🔗 Learn more and register here: https://lnkd.in/e_-xXA_K #WeBoostAM #3Dprinting #AdiitiveManufacturing #Rail

The political framework for our technology is so important. So we were all the more pleased to welcome the governing mayor of Berlin to our network yesterday. Kai Wegner was extremely interested, supportive and helpful with further contacts. We in the team had the impression that he intuitively understood the situation of additive manufacturing and wants to support us. Points that are important to us: 💡A national and Europe-wide strategy for additive manufacturing. 💡Targeted funding programmes for rapid implementation in the economy. 💡Support for important research and development 💡And of course more integration of AM into the curricula of various educational institutions Our many different printed exhibits from different sectors attracted his attention. As a parting gift, he received a 3D printed, metal television tower from us. THE Symbol of Berlin: Digital, connecting people and overcoming borders! GEFERTEC Christian Ochs Torsten Wehrkamp David Hampel Jan Dittmann Sophie Poser Naomi Nathan Linus Tillmann Berit Timmich Steffen Lachnit
#MGA #3DDruck #KaiWegner MGA Mobility | MGA Medical - Mobility goes Additive e.V.

The blue elephant 🐘 in the AM space is currently 🇨🇳 China . I am very delighted that Dirk SIMON former MD DACH of the Chinese printer manufacturer Farsoon and a real expert on the subject, will be coming to our MGA Mobility | MGA Medical - Mobility goes Additive e.V. annual network meeting October 8-9 in Berlin. I am happy if you join the discussion! I already have a lot of questions, what about you? What moves you when you think about China's role in additive manufacturing? #weboostam
Is collaborating with China in Additive Manufacturing the key to staying competitive, or does it bring more risks than rewards? Dr. Dirk SIMON will be answering this question at our Annual Meeting this October in Berlin. In his presentation, "China's Globalization of AM – Concepts to Avoid Becoming Victims", Dirk will explore how companies can collaborate and navigate upcoming challenges in a rapidly shifting market. Since 2000, Dr. Dirk Simon engaged himself in collaborations with China in an “Open Innovation” mindset. Therefore, his insights are grounded in a deep understanding of the risks and rewards that come with such international engagements. With a PhD in polymer chemistry, over 17 years of experience in traditional manufacturing before transitioning to Additive Manufacturing in 2012, Dr. Dirk Simon has played an important role in establishing BASF's "3D Printing Solutions" and founding FARSOON Europe GmbH, while also providing consultancy services and promoting competitiveness in AM. If you want to be prepared for the future of the 3D printing industry and navigate the challenges of globalization, this presentation is essential. 🎤 Presentation: China's globalization of AM – Concepts to avoid becoming victims 📅 Date: October 8-9, 2024 📍 Location: Berlin 🔗 Learn more and register here to our Annual Meeting: https://lnkd.in/e_-xXA_K #AddtiveManufactuing #China #AMglobalization #BRICS #3Dprinting #AMchallenges #WeBoostAM
