Case Study Part 3: Enhancing Radiology Practices 💡 Integrating AI and Streamlined Workflows for a better way of working In our concluding post, we examine the broader implications of Veolity at University College London Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust (UCLH). Veolity, in cooperation with a third party, not only enhances the accuracy and speed of lung cancer screening but also provides a comprehensive workflow from patient scheduling to reporting. Their integration ensures better governance and oversight, minimizing the risk of missing early signs of lung cancer and maximizing opportunities for timely treatment. Dr. Arjun Nair emphasizes the value of having this unified system that supports screening review meetings and second reads of scans. UCLH’s comprehensive approach not only boosts radiologists' confidence but also ensures that every finding is meticulously evaluated. As instances of lung cancer and demands on specialist screening services continue to rise, it is critical that medical professionals are able to draw on tools like Veolity to them, to facilitate a successful screening. UCLH’s pioneering work sets a benchmark for other institutions aiming to enhance their lung cancer screening processes.
