Last week, we had the pleasure of hosting our annual meeting in Geneva. The event was a significant success, marked by insightful discussions and strong collaboration. ✨ We are excited to announce the expansion of our global network with the addition of three esteemed members: Mast-Jägermeister SE, the Kentucky Distillers’ Association (KDA), and The Wine and Spirit Trade Association (WSTA). Their inclusion strengthens our community and amplifies our collective voice within the spirits industry. 🌍🤝 Our meeting focused on tackling the pressing challenges facing our industry and exploring collaborative strategies to address them. Our discussions were both productive and forward-thinking, highlighting the importance of unity and shared vision. 💡🗣️ We extend a special thank you to Johanna Hill, WTO Deputy Director General, for her inspiring keynote speech. Her insights were invaluable to our discussions. 🙏🎤 Other highlights included our annual cocktail hour and visits to the WTO missions, where we engaged with key stakeholders in Geneva. These interactions were pivotal in addressing both opportunities and challenges in the spirits sector, fostering stronger connections. 🥃👥 We also launched our first-ever comprehensive global Economic Footprint Study, showcasing the spirits industry as a vital contributor to the global economy. The study revealed that our sector contributes an impressive US$730 billion to the world's GDP and that it supports 36 million jobs worldwide. 📊🌐 Thank you to everyone who participated and contributed to the success of this meeting.
