Info
Made of Air is a climate-focused materials company transforming waste biomass into high-value, carbon negative materials for industrial use. Made of Air’s materials replace fossil materials and other composites in manufactured products. Composed of carbon sequestered from the atmosphere, the materials permanently remove CO2 and are thermoformed by standard industrial processes to meet millions of building and consumer product applications. Storing carbon in products enables manufactured goods to become an engineered carbon sink. Our mission is to provide carbon negative materials to enact and inspire urgent, scale reversal of the climate crisis.

A quick recap of our participation in the Green Vision Summit & Expo in Malta is here! Our CEO and co-founder, Allison, had the wonderful opportunity to participate in the Summit and share her experience in the climate tech space. With Christopher Caldwell, she delved into the pivotal role of NETs in achieving net-zero emissions and discussed the regulatory environment surrounding these technologies. The interview is available on YouTube, Spotify, and Apple Podcasts!
🔔 Fireside Chat: Traction Technology – CCUS and Beyond with Allison Dring 🔔 🎥 I had the incredible opportunity to sit down with Allison Dring at the #GVSE in Malta, a trailblazing entrepreneur and expert in negative emissions technologies. 📢 Who is Allison Dring? 👩💼 CEO & Co-founder Made of Air: Leading a startup turning biochar into industrial plastic substitutes, tackling emissions head-on. 🌟 Innovator: Co-invented proslve370e, an architectural façade that traps air pollution. 🏆 Leader & Award-Winner: Recognized globally for her contributions, including the AmCham Germany Female Founder Award. 📚 Allison's Journey: From architecture and design to pioneering environmental tech, Allison’s career is all about innovative thinking and impactful solutions. She is reshaping how we think about materials and their role in achieving net-zero emissions. 🔍 Key Topics We Covered: 1. 🚀 The Role of NETs: Are negative emissions technologies critical for reaching net-zero? Can we get there without them? 2. 🛠️ Current State of the Tech: How close are we to fully realizing the potential of these technologies? What innovations are still needed? 3. ⚖️ Moral Implications: Do NETs risk giving us a false sense of security, potentially slowing down other decarbonization efforts? 4. 🏛️ Regulatory Environment: Insights into the new Carbon Removal Certification Framework (CRCF) and its potential impact on the industry. 💡 Why Watch? Allison’s insights offers valuable perspectives on the urgent need for, and the promising potential of, NETs. 🔗 Watch the Interview on YouTube Now👇 or save for later by clicking the 3 dots … above 👆 https://lnkd.in/enDkSu-b The only regret is the conversation lasted only 15 minutes, if you enjoy the conversation let us know and hopefully we can set that right with a full length deep dive in the not too distant future 🚀 Sabrina Agius Sarah Needham Marc Buckley 🌍 Federica Di Sario Gareth Presch Curtis Phillip Benedicte Hagen Mjøs Kathleen Schroeter
