Navigating the Challenges of Metaverse Crimes 🌐 Kadine James is not only the Global Head of Innovation at our group's subsidiary Artificial Rome, but also a member of the Industry Advisory Board of INTERPOL's Expert Group on the Metaverse "i-MEG". The i-MEG is a multi-stakeholder group of experts from INTERPOL's 195 member countries, industry, governments, the private sector, academia, and other international organizations actively working in the metaverse. They address meta-crime, including cyber-physical attacks, theft in virtual spaces and the complexity of virtual crime scenes, and highlight the need for standardized approaches that span multiple jurisdictions and digital platforms. Together with almost 2,000 guests, we celebrated the #EURO24 semi-finals England vs. Netherlands at the adidas X Zalando FAN MILE 2.0 in Berlin. This alternative public viewing event combined fashion, music, art, and lifestyle, providing an engaging and exciting sporting space. From #teqball to an #upcycling workshop, fan make-up & nail bar to a tattoo studio and an adidas showroom, there were numerous lifestyle experiences tailored to a variety of interests for Gen Z and beyond. SUMMER BASH – Berlin Edition 💙🐳 Our Berlin crew had double the reason to party last week: the Berlin edition of our Summer Bash and our office's 9th birthday! We kicked off the day with a tasty vegan breakfast before hopping on the subway and heading out of town. Our destination? The stunning 7 lakes of Wannsee, where we embarked on a boat tour that was as fun as it was beautiful – our blue outfits added a splash of color to the water. As the day heated up, we enjoyed a delicious BBQ, chilling in the shade and enjoying the views of the lake together. We kept the energy high with some ping pong battles and then cooled off with a refreshing swim, ending the day with a sunset that was pure perfection. Our next shoutout goes to Net Zero Carbon Events, an industry initiative addressing climate change in over 60 countries with 600 signatories. Initiated in 2021 at COP26 in Glasgow by the Joint Meetings Industry Council, the initiative aims to develop common methodologies for measuring industry greenhouse gas emissions across the supply chain, foster collaboration within the industry among suppliers and customers and establish common mechanisms for reporting progress and sharing best practices. The NZCE initiative’s approach and methodology for CO2e Calculation will set the reporting standard for the event industry. Our Green Gen Calculator translates this mechanism into software.
