Space Robotic Arm Takes (Zero-G) Flight This week, we took another step forward in our leap toward bringing a European dexterous robotic manipulator to orbit. This week, #KinetikSpace, DLR’s Institute of Robotics and Mechatronics #DLR #DLR-RM, Technical University of Munich #TUM, and iBoss #iBoss, took to the Zero-G campaign aboard the zero-G flight #DLR42 for the verifications of the functionality and performance of the SpaceDREAM arm in micro-gravity conditions. Both our robot and the human team performed flawlessly, bringing us closer yet again to full operation, to help a sustainability in space a reality not so distant future. In orbit deployment is now firmly in sight. For our success, we also want to thank #DLRSpaceAgency, #AirZeroG, and #Novespace for their invaluable support throughout the campaign!
