KfW hat dies direkt geteilt
What a day! Yesterday, the first Capital Markets Conference on Energy Transition (#CMCET) in Germany took place at KfW premises with almost 200 participants. It was the first time that institutional investors, executives from Germany's energy and financial industry, political decision makers and other stakeholders came together to: ➡ Build new relationships & share ideas. ➡ Discuss joint ideas for the energy transition and its financing in Germany. It was about bringing together supply - the transformation of our energy infrastructure - and demand - private investors to finance the transformation. My key take-aways: The dialog is wanted and needed. Our goal now is to keep the conversation going. With this conference we want to contribute to a constructive, future-oriented discussion about the expansion of our energy infrastructure. I believe we should focus on three “C’s”: 🔵 Commitment: We want to be climate neutral by 2045, grow and enhance our competitiveness in Germany. To achieve this, all stakeholders need to be committed. 🔵 Collaboration: Innovation is a key driver in scaling renewable energy sources and products. The discovery journey and the execution will require strong and new partnerships. 🔵 Capital: Without private capital we will not be able to finance the energy transition. It is therefore imperative to create stable framework conditions and a business case with an acceptable risk/return profile. The first CMCET as well as the preceding press event was a great success. We are overwhelmed by the media attention and social media coverage. Again, many thanks to Dr. Robert Habeck, Dr. Philipp Nimmermann and Bundesministerium für Wirtschaft und Klimaschutz for its patronage. Many thanks also to Deutsche Bank and Christian Sewing for supporting CMCET. #Investorenkonferenz #DecadeofDecision #DecadeofInvestment
