Zaeh, was appointed Chairman of the Scientific Technical Committee Machines (STC M) within the prestigious CIRP (College International pour la Recherche en Productique) organization. 🎓 Successful Dissertation Defense Alert! 🎉   We are happy to announce that Tobias Buechler has successfully defended his dissertation on “Methodology for an early manufacturing technology selection on a component level using Machine Learning” at the iwb!   📚 In car body development, the decision regarding the components’ manufacturing technologies should be made as early as possible to ensure efficient processes. The developed methodology thus enables an automated decision support for the selection of manufacturing technologies. Missing data is generated based on early existing information through derivation rules and AI models, structured in four modules: the requirements module, the production module, the cost module, and the geometry module.
