With over 120 international green labeling programs available worldwide, Egypt still lacks a comprehensive database for green building materials tailored to local conditions. Understanding the environmental impacts of building materials is essential for promoting sustainability. This paper proposes a framework for evaluating and selecting green building materials that considers their entire life cycle—accounting for ecological, social, health, and economic impacts. By creating a systematic approach, we aim to support the development of new cities and enhance sustainability efforts across Egypt, aligning with the United Nations' Sustainable Development Goal 11 for inclusive, safe, and resilient urban environments by 2030.
