🌳 𝐄𝐧𝐯𝐢𝐫𝐨𝐧𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐚𝐥 𝐀𝐜𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐢𝐧 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐏𝐡𝐢𝐥𝐢𝐩𝐩𝐢𝐧𝐞𝐬! 🌱 As a part of our continuing deep dive into our 2023 Sustainability Report, we're looking at some of the environmental actions taken abroad. In August 2023, our team in the Philippines partnered with the Community Environment and Natural Resources Office - Muñoz for a tree planting activity in Barangay Malbang. As a part of our project’s permitting conditions, our local team volunteered to lead this effort, showing their dedication to environmental stewardship. 🔹 𝟏𝟎𝟎 𝐍𝐚𝐫𝐫𝐚 𝐬𝐞𝐞𝐝𝐥𝐢𝐧𝐠𝐬 were planted with help from volunteers at Apolaki Two Inc. 🔹 The activity, supervised by the National Greening Program, took place in the 𝐏𝐚𝐧𝐭𝐚𝐛𝐚𝐧𝐠𝐚𝐧-𝐂𝐚𝐫𝐫𝐚𝐧𝐠𝐥𝐚𝐧 𝐖𝐚𝐭𝐞𝐫𝐬𝐡𝐞𝐝 𝐅𝐨𝐫𝐞𝐬𝐭 𝐑𝐞𝐬𝐞𝐫𝐯𝐞, a protected area crucial for biodiversity. 🔹 This effort supports the conservation of vulnerable species like the 𝐏𝐡𝐢𝐥𝐢𝐩𝐩𝐢𝐧𝐞 𝐝𝐞𝐞𝐫 and 𝐏𝐡𝐢𝐥𝐢𝐩𝐩𝐢𝐧𝐞 𝐝𝐮𝐜𝐤, while helping reverse land degradation and protect natural ecosystems. 🚀 Exciting News! 🚀 We're thrilled to announce a major milestone for ib vogt and NextPower V ESG: the agreement on a deal for the sale of the 110 MWp "Pato" solar project in Segovia, Spain! 🌞 Highlights: • The Pato site is 110 MWp Solar Project in Segovia, Spain • Construction started in March 2024, with operations set for Q1 2025. The project has already secured an attractive Power Purchase Agreement with a leading industrial innovator, ensuring a strong economic foundation. • The site will generate 215.6 GWh of clean energy annually – This is enough to power over 55,000 households, significantly contributing to Spain's renewable energy targets and reducing CO2 emissions by 47,450 tons per year. • Biodiversity Initiatives: Beyond generating clean energy, the project includes efforts to support local wildlife, like creating ponds for amphibians and installing owl nesting boxes, demonstrating our commitment to environmental stewardship. • The project is part of a larger 513 MWp solar initiative in Segovia ib vogt will provide full EPC, O&M, and Asset Management Services, ensuring the project is managed with the highest standards from start to finish. 🌍 Our Commitment to a Net Zero Future 🌍 As a continuation of our look into ib vogt's most recent Sustainability report, we're focusing on our Net Zero commitment. At ib vogt, our commitment to Net Zero is more than just a goal—it's at the core of everything we do. Through our projects, we're actively contributing to a low-carbon economy, with quantifiable benefits that showcase the impact of our work. In 2023, we made significant strides: • 28 branches are now tracking data, an 8-branch increase from 2022. • We've expanded our TravelPerk/GreenPerk platform to 14 branches, ensuring energy-efficient business travel. • We achieved a 64% reduction in emissions from business travel by updating our travel policy. Our focus on accurate data and sustainable practices, including offsetting unavoidable emissions, keeps us on track to meet the Science Based Targets initiative (SBTi) standards. But our journey doesn't stop there. We're committed to ongoing collaboration, reducing our carbon footprint, and leading by example in the renewable energy sector. This is why we strive to operate in a manner that fosters holistic sustainability. 🌞 Exciting meeting at the Garnacha Solar Farm! 🌞 We're thrilled to announce a milestone meeting between the ib vogt and Google teams at the Garnacha solar farm. Garnacha is a 149 MWp solar project located in the province of Zamora in Spain. Together the two teams toured the site location and discussed the layout of the site, technology used, what kind of monitoring tools are being implemented, and further development details. Together, we're taking significant steps toward powering the energy transition and creating a sustainable future. Garnacha stands as a testament to what we can achieve when leading innovators join forces for a greener tomorrow.
