Our Innovation Lab 2024 of the Hochland Management Development Program International 🌍 😊 During the last two days our participants of the second round of the Management Development Program – International (MDP-I) came together in Heimenkirch for the Innovation Lab. Together they learned about creativity techniques and dived into the design thinking process. So great to see with how much dedication prototypes were built with a clear customer-centric perspective! 🏗🚀After five years, the time has finally come: we are celebrating the completion of our highly modern soft ripened cheese production facility at our French subsidiary Fromagerie Henri Hutin in Dieue-sur-Meuse.   The largest investment project in Hochland's history, ‘Lighthouse’ marks a significant milestone and sets new standards in terms of flexibility, adaptability and sustainability. We have invested in a flexible soft ripened cheese production facility, further innovative production processes and in multifaceted raw material handling. The aim is to process up to five different types of milk, to expand the portfolio and to be able to adapt quickly to new customer requirements in all areas. With the French products - soft ripened cheese, semi-soft semi-hard cheese and spreads - we see a good opportunity to further develop our business areas and establish new products.   We welcomed 200 guests to the opening ceremony, including representatives of the shareholder families, from politics and business and our employees. An informative tour of the new production facility gave an insight into the highly modern manufacturing processes that open up new possibilities for us. Around 300 people are currently employed at our plant in Dieue-sur-Meuse. The investment in the site is an opportunity to strengthen our position in the market, secure jobs, continue to be a reliable partner for our contract farmers and promote the local economy.   A big Thank You goes to everyone who has contributed to the success of this project through their tireless efforts.   #HochlandGroup #teamHochland #lighthouse #FromagerieHenriHutin

International meeting of our Hochland Sustainability Managers 🌱 🌍 Recently, the Hochland Sustainability Managers from Poland, Germany, France, Spain, Romania and the USA came together. Our sustainability spotlight was on updating the materiality analysis and the challenge of how we can reduce the climate impact of our product portfolio in a sustainable way. Together with the Root Global team, we discussed the initial results of the collection of primary data on dairy farms to identify farm-specific emission factors. We are delighted with the many exciting ideas we received from internal and external experts. --- Internationales Meeting unserer Hochland Sustainability Manager:innen 🌱 🌍 Vor kurzem kamen die Hochland Sustainability Manager:innen aus Polen, Deutschland, Frankreich, Spanien, Rumänien und den USA zusammen. Unser Sustainability Spotlight lag auf der Aktualisierung der Wesentlichkeitsanalyse und der Herausforderung, wie wir Klimaauswirkungen unseres Produktportfolios zukunftsfähig reduzieren können. Mit dem Team von Root Global diskutierten wir die ersten Ergebnisse der Erhebung von Primärdaten auf Milchviehbetrieben zur Ermittlung betriebsindividueller Emissionsfaktoren. At Hochland we want to let people grow. 😊 🌍 This is one of the aims of our Management Development Program international (MDP-I). In 2022 we newly revised this program and created a blended learning experience combining both presence and virtual sessions. Last year in March the first group of 12 international participants started the program delving into various chapters covering Hochlands DNA, leadership in a VUCA world, and self and team leadership. Recently, the group met in  Poznan, exploring topics such as self-awareness, mindfulness and personality styles. Now, they will focus on developing their leadership brand and reflecting on their experiences before the program‘s final stage now in April. We are already overwhelmed from the input and deep discussions of the participants and the strong international connections it already created. We are happy that this journey will continue starting with a second group in May this year. At Hochland, we encourage international collaboration between our employees in our subsidiaries on a global level.
