Our foundation Fundación Life Comunidad Valenciana celebrates its 1st birthday! 😍 🎉 What a year for agriculture and especially for olive growing. It was characterized by droughts, little harvest and uncertainty. We set up our foundation in what was probably one of the most difficult and challenging years. At a time when the farmers and the local landscape needed the foundation's help and support the most and could benefit from it. And that's exactly what we did in the first year! My 3 #highlights: - We have increased aid by more than 20% - More than 5,000 olive trees have benefited from the 2024 aid program - More than 100 hectares of olive groves in danger have been included in our program We are grateful for the support of all olive tree owners in hinterland who automatically support the foundation with their tree. Let's continue the work together! 🌳🌿

What an incredible year for hinterland! 🌿🚀 2023 was full of achievements and milestones for our social startup. We learned, worked and celebrated a lot as a team. These are some of our highlights: FIRST BUSINESS AWARD: We are proud to have won our first business award in 2023. A testament to the commitment of our team and the relevance of our mission! LAUNCH OF OUR FOUNDATION: The creation of the Foundación Life marks a significant step for hinterland. Through this initiative, we are able to support local farmers, biodiversity and the centuries-old cultural landscape even more e.g. by applying for EU subsidies and funding. SOLD OUT: Your enthusiasm knows no bounds - the entire 2022/2023 harvest has been sold down to the last bottle! A big thank you to you all! GOLD PRIZE FOR OUR ORGANIC EVOO: Our organic oil has won the gold award at one of the most prestigious olive oil competitions in the world Terraolivo. What an honor! FIVE NEW PRODUCTS: We just couldn't resist: an orange blossom honey, three varieties of aromatized organic virgin olive oil (chili garlic, rosemary, black garlic) and an organic raspberry apple cider vinegar. All handmade by small farmers in our region and 100% natural. PLANTING 1000 OLIVE TREES: We are investing in the future by helping to plant 1.000 new olive trees of the Picual variety to promote sustainable agriculture. TV, RADIO & MAGAZINES: The presence on Spanish TV channels (!), radio stations and German magazines has helped to spread our message far beyond the borders. Thank you for the many interviews and editorials! OVER 100 VISITORS: More than 100 people visited us on the ground in Spain to support our initiative, visit their tree and meet the farmers. It was wonderful to meet you! (Another) DOUBLING OF SALES: The joy of the numerous B2B orders, especially at Christmas, was huge! With hinterland, companies have a personalized, sustainable gift for their employees and customers. Our growth was also very noticeable in the B2C sector and we were able to double our turnover again. What a success! BIGGEST HARVEST FESTIVAL TO DATE: Together with our community, we celebrated our biggest harvest festival yet. Participants experienced a first-hand olive harvest as they picked their own olives, made new friends and enjoyed the fruits of our hard work.   We close the year with a small appell: "Lo bueno se hace esperar." In today's fast-paced world, we are often pushed to find solutions and results quickly. But let's learn together from the small farmers and understand that good things can develop best when we give them space to grow and mature - just like a good olive oil. WE DID IT AGAIN!💃🫒 The #harvestfestival was a complete #success in every respect: the harvest and the festival... 😉 It started on Saturday morning with a #workshop on olive harvesting held by two of our olive farmers. Then it was time to harvest the olives until there were no more olives left on the trees. Afterwards, everyone had time to visit their own olive #tree, hug it and take lots of photos. Once the harvest was complete, it was time to celebrate! There was a big #party with food, drink and lots of surprises. The language barriers were quickly overcome and we danced the night away. On Sunday morning, we topped off the harvest festival with a visit to the local oil mill. Everyone was able to #learn first-hand how and where the hinterland organic #extravirginoliveoil is extracted and how the process from olive to oil works. Many thanks to all the olive tree owners who took part. You were fantastic!
