Here's an inside look at what's happened in the #KAI Workshop, which is organised through our partnership with Hamburg University of Applied Sciences!
🤝 Today Hi-Acts participated in the KAI-Workshop 2024, organized by Hochschule für Angewandte Wissenschaften Hamburg (HAW Hamburg) and Deutsches Elektronen-Synchrotron DESY! Under the leadership of the esteemed Prof. Dr.-Ing. Peter Wulf, Vice President for Research and Transfer, this event was dedicated to enhancing collaboration and expanding cooperative research ventures. In addition, previous cooperation projects were presented as well as proposals for the expansion of cooperative research projects. Also participating our Hi-Acts Technology Lab >Physics Informed AI< with Johannes Hagemann presenting super insights of how this lab develops robust reconstruction and analysis algorithms for imaging applications at a synchrotron lightsource. “Robustness, ease of applicability and reproducability are highly relevant properties if we want to offer imaging as a service for industrial applications. Using these algorithms as baseline we can apply machine learning techniques to speed-up the data analysis pipeline and transfer these algorithms to other setups, e.g. compact laser driven x-ray sources which are in development by another Hi-ACTS technology lab”, says Hagemann. There were also brilliant contributions by DESY Innovation Factory and Transferwelten. The day ended with insightful networking and new opportunities for future KAI-Seed Money funded projects. 𝙆𝙚𝙞𝙣𝙚 𝙎𝙘𝙝𝙚𝙪 𝙫𝙤𝙧 𝙙𝙚𝙧 𝙆𝙤𝙤𝙥𝙧𝙖𝙩𝙞𝙤𝙣 𝙢𝙞𝙩 𝙙𝙚𝙢 𝘿𝙀𝙎𝙔! Sabine Ahrendt
