It was a great pleasure and honour to host Dr Marcus Faber, Chairman of the Defence Committee of the German Bundestag, at our offices in Munich.  Dr. Faber inquired about the lessons from and capabilities we can bring to the battlefield and conveyed his sense of urgency for modernising our armed forces. An urgency that we share. Thank you, Dr Marcus Faber and team for your time and your commitment to strengthening European defence and our collective deterrence.

The Eastern Flank is of critical importance to the security of European democracies and at the heart of our mission. Following the establishment of Helsing Estonia we are working to rapidly build our presence in the region. The Estonian Minister of Defence, Hanno Pevkur, and Helsing's Co-CEO and Co-founder Dr. Gundbert Scherf signed a joint statement on AI-driven defence collaboration today. Minister Pevkur noted: “The new security environment in Europe requires a determined response from governments as well as the defence industry to be ahead of the curve in developing and fielding modern defence capabilities." “We need to double our fighting power within three years." Helsing was proud to host the British Army’s new Chief of the General Staff, at our London HQ.   As part of the visit, General Sir Roly Walker saw first-hand the transformative impact of AI on tactical CIS, as recently proven on Project ACHERON. Then earlier this week, Dr. Gundbert Scherf spoke to the Royal United Services Institute's Land Warfare Conference about multiplying fighting power through radical collaboration and accelerated tech adoption. Helsing and Prime Minister Kaja Kallas announce Helsing Estonia at NATO Summit Establishment of sovereign entity to develop and deploy capabilities for deterrence and defence of NATO Eastern Flank. Helsing tests real-time AI capabilities in space. Helsing today announced that it has successfully deployed advanced AI capabilities on YAM-6, a satellite node part of Loft Orbital space infrastructure. The extended tests focus on real-time onboard radio frequency signal detection and their characterisation enabling upcoming military grade Signal Intelligence and Cognitive Anti-Jamming applications. We are delighted to welcome Burak Ata to Helsing. Burak joins us from Volocopter, where he was Head of Development Quality Assurance and instrumental in achieving the certification for Volocopter's eVTOL. Burak previously held roles at Lilium, BNA -a BAE joint venture - and local airworthiness authorities. He is also currently chairing EUROCAE Working Group 117 “Aviation Software Standards” that develops the required standards to support Aviation Software, inclusively addressing all aviation stakeholders. As Helsing's Head of Certification and Assurance, Burak will lead the company's certification and compliance efforts. "I am thrilled to be joining Helsing at such an exciting time", said Burak Ata. "The pace of innovation in defence is accelerating relentlessly, and I look forward to using my experience in the air domain to help Helsing achieve its mission to protect our democracies."
