It is the result of a merger of Packaging Valley Germany and Packaging Excellence Region Stuttgart. It networks around 80 companies with a total of more than 15,000 employees. The flexible rotary indexing table FRT is the perfect platform for product filling and an assembly platform for products with a limited number of individual components and processes. Since dosing and verification processes are positioned in a compact arrangement, the platform requires only very little space. The rotary indexing machine can be equipped with one or several turrets.

For Matthias Hahn, no two working days are the same. But it is precisely this variety of tasks as a project planner that excites him: He is involved in a project from the very first customer inquiry, and together with the technology sales department, he assesses whether and how it can be technically implemented. He is responsible for the basic design of a packaging system, the concepts in 2D and 3D and the layout with a rough draft of the process flow. He often starts with a blank sheet of paper and works out in close cooperation with the special departments which direction a project should take, how the system needs to be configured, which process steps will be necessary – and what such a line will cost. The best solutions are found together as a team, Matt emphasizes: “I work closely with a large network of colleagues, be it in design, control technology, robotics or other departments. Our customers really appreciate having a project planner at their side right from the initial stage of their inquiry, who can advise and show them which technical direction their project is taking. When one of “my” systems is successfully put into operation in the end, I am happy and proud to have been a cog in the wheel and to have contributed my share to the development process. #meettheteam #mtt #projectplanner

The EcoVadis Silver medal complements the certificates Harro Höfliger has already received, such as ISO 9001 for quality management and ISO 14001 for environmental management, and confirms the effectiveness of previous measures for consistent sustainable action. Above all, the certification provides concrete insights into where improvements are possible, providing a strong incentive for the sustainability agenda in the coming years.
