Join us in extending a warm welcome to Ismail Ihsan, Zachary Adrian Emuang, Sam Billen, and Vincent Ganter: Ismail Ihsan joins us as our new VP of Engineering and a pivotal member of our leadership team. With over thirteen years of impressive experience at groundbreaking companies such as SpaceX, Rivian, Mynaric, and SLB, Ismail brings a wealth of knowledge and expertise that will propel our team to new heights. We eagerly anticipate the innovative ideas he will contribute to our projects! Zachary Adrian Emuang holds a Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering and has applied artificial neural networks to camera calibration. With valuable experience as a working student at BCG, Zach is excited about our dynamic projects, the team, and the rich learning environment at Greenlyte. Sam Billen has a robust background in system maintenance and operational wastewater improvement. He looks forward to collaborating with our team. Outside of work, Sam enjoys playing soccer and drums. Vincent Ganter is currently studying economics and finance and will be supporting our business team. He is enthusiastic about working in the startup world and interacting with investors. We are thrilled to announce a new #CCU project starting this month: DAC-2-E-Methane 📢 🌿 This groundbreaking project aims to integrate our #DAC technology with catalytic methane synthesis, transforming CO2 captured from the air into methane, a #climateneutral energy source. We are thrilled to announce our participation in the pioneering project alongside the Zentrum für BrennstoffzellenTechnik (ZBT),the Institute of Technical Thermodynamics (LTT), RWTH Aachen University and the Lehrstuhl für Energieverfahrenstechnik und Energiesysteme. 💡 "DAC-2-E-Methane represents a pivotal advancement in our pursuit of sustainable energy solutions. Yesterday, our founder Dr. Niklas Friederichsen joined an engaging panel discussion on "Climate Challenge Calling! Serial Entrepreneurs Moving into Hydrogen" alongside Trevor Best from Syzygy Plasmonics and Philip Kessler from TURN2X, hosted by Uwe Kerkmann from H2UB. The conversation was filled with powerful insights and innovative ideas about the future of #hydrogen and its critical role in the energy sector and for carbon capture utilization. The panelist also reflect on their challenges in building a #greentech startup: 💡 Niklas Friederichsen | CTO, Greenlyte Carbon Technologies: "As an entrepreneur you sometimes get to the point where there is no expert on a problem you are trying to solve. Then it becomes a question of how fast you can troubleshoot and make decisions. And that is where the muscle built in previous companies really pays off." 💡 Trevor Best | CEO, Syzygy Plasmonics: "After working in oil and gas, I tried to start companies to benefit the planet. I made a list of ideas and tried to kill an idea as fast as possible. (...) Wow, what an event! 🏃♂️💨 Our Greenlyte team put in a great performance at the Essen company run and secured 12th place out of a total of 1281 company groups! 🎉 A huge thank you to our 23 participants (🌱🌎 Florian Hildebrand was unfortunately on vacation - again ;)) who laced up their running shoes and gave it their all. Cella has established a first-of-a-kind carbon storage well in Kenya and we are looking forward to sinking some carbon in their hub soon. Shell is preparing the launch of their storage hub in Louisianna. Both were touring Europe and stopped by to tour our workshop, get a sneak peak at our next plant installation, discuss the state of CDR - especially in regard to market demand, and overall developments.
