First destination for German Startups in Europe: United Kingdom Last month, German Accelerator and London & Partners announced a new partnership, strengthening the bond between Germany and the UK. The UK will be the first European destination for German Accelerator. This year, the inaugural program will launch in the United Kingdom, where German startups will benefit from the local expertise and networks of London & Partners. In 2025, the second phase will commence: UK scale-ups will come to Germany to engage in peer-to-peer learning. “We are excited to open doors for German startups to the London and UK markets,” Laura Citron OBE, CEO of London & Partners, stated. To celebrate this collaboration, Dr. Anna Christmann, Commissioner of the Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs and Climate Action (BMWK) for Startups and the Digital Economy, Laura Citron OBE, Prof. Matthias Notz, CEO of Start2 Group, and Miriam Ducke, Director Europe of London & Partners met for breakfast yesterday in Berlin. “After expanding to South America a few months ago, German Accelerator can now also extend its offerings within Europe, supporting more startups on their path to internationalization,” said Dr. Anna Christmann. We look forward to bridging the gap in internationalization within Europe and offering German startups another opportunity on their path to globalization.

What a day! Our #Kickstart on-site day in Rostock was not only super insightful but also incredibly fun. 🙌 During the day, our startups attended engaging workshops on sales, go-to-market strategy, and business models led by Ivo Dimovsky and Dr. Tobias Strobl at the OstseeSparkasse Rostock. The sessions were packed with great learnings and practical knowledge and provided our startups with actionable strategies. 💡 One of the absolute highlights was the unforgettable boat trip aboard the Rostocker 7 ⛴. Our 26 startups had the incredible opportunity to pitch their innovative ideas right on the EntrepreneurSHIP, surrounded by the stunning views of the Baltic Sea. We also hosted an inspiring Fireside Chat on the topic of internationalization with German Accelerator alumnus Stefan Goletzke and lead mentor Dr. Tobias Strobl, moderated by internationalization expert Corey Wright. The startups gained valuable insights and expert advice on international markets, expansion strategies, and navigating cultural differences. What better place to dive deep into expanding businesses across oceans than right on the water? 🌊 A huge thank you to our amazing partners Paul Westphal, Jan Klaiber, Dr. Martin Setzkorn, Digitales Innovationszentrum Rostock GmbH, Zentrum für Entrepreneurship Rostock, and special thanks to our sponsor ROKA 1825 GmbH, for making this day such a success! We'd also like to give a shoutout to our Kickstart team for the excellent program organization: Alina Zukic, Chiara Canavesi, and Mira Kadirkhanova. 👏 This unique setting provided the perfect backdrop for networking, learning, and creating lasting memories. Thank you to everyone who joined us for this amazing experience and the participating startups for their fantastic pitches! 🇦🇷 Last Friday, at ExpoRural 2024, one of Argentina's most prominent agricultural exhibitions showcasing innovations in agriculture, livestock, and industry, we moderated an engaging panel on climate tech, led by Florencia Williams. The event featured innovative startups like Plataforma PUMA, Caligenia, Satellites on Fire, and BRISTE Argentina. 🌱💡 Plataforma PUMA, the winner of our Immersion Week in March, will be traveling to Germany in September to further their innovative journey. The panelists highlighted the vast opportunities in Argentina for returning to the land and generating life in the soil, emphasizing the importance of food production and prosperity through regenerative agriculture. They also discussed the need for creating synergies by aiming towards common goals, addressing the La Niña phenomenon, and leveraging Argentina’s science and know-how. Protecting biodiversity and future generations, as well as enhancing digitalization in agriculture, were key points of discussion. 🌍📊 🚀 We are proud to have been part of this significant event and look forward to seeing these startups make a substantial impact in the agtech and climate tech sectors. #ExpoRural2024 #Agtech #Climatech #Innovation #GermanAccelerator #Startups #Sustainability #BuenosAires

💡🇦🇷 How Can Innovation Address Argentina’s Climate Issues? To explore this topic, we're joined by Ruben Altman, who highlights Argentina’s pressing issues with changing weather conditions. The agriculture industry is facing challenges like droughts, soil degradation, and extreme heat. 💧 Now is the time for innovative water technologies to make a difference. Argentina's push for lithium mining and gas extraction presents vast opportunities for clean tech startups. There's also a growing demand for sustainable mobility and energy infrastructure. Moreover, protecting South America's rich biodiversity and carbon sinks requires advanced MRV tools for regeneration projects. 📅 Ready to be part of the change? Join our Market Discovery Program and innovate in Argentina’s market.
