    New blog post 📣 "Why you might want to avoid building C applications w/ `vcpkg`" Intro: Dockerizing 🐳 a C application can be much more difficult than dockerizing a Node.js or Python application. And it is not the execution of the binary that is difficult (that is easy). It's rather that compiling the source code requires a further stage in the Dockerfile, a so-called *build stage*, in which all build tools (`gcc`, `cmake`, etc.) and all dependencies (`boost`, `zlib`, etc.) must be installed and available. To define these dependencies, one might be tempted to use `vcpkg`, a "C Library Manager for Windows, Linux, and MacOS" (https://lnkd.in/dAHtqZTE), which is basically the equivalent of using `npm` `package.json` in Node.js or `pip` `Pipfile` in Python, right?     6 years at frontmark GmbH. Cheers to 6 exciting years! 🥳 In March 2018, I started my journey as a working student in software development. In 2019, after completing my master's degree in Computer Science, I continued as a Software Architect at frontmark's head office in Wiesbaden, Germany. In this role, my primary responsibility was designing and building our cloud-based container platform from scratch, which now powers dozens of applications and services for our customers. The year 2022 marks a significant shift for me as I relocated to the Netherlands 🇳🇱 and took on the role of managing frontmark's branch office in #Maastricht. It's been an incredible journey, and I am grateful for the opportunities, support, and personal growth frontmark has provided me. Here's to many more years of success and development at this amazing company! 🚀

    🔬 Our latest breakthrough in visualizing #Bitcoin transaction graphs:   When analyzing cryptocurrency transaction graphs, the ability to quickly and efficiently visualize data is essential for identifying potential fraud and money laundering activities. However, due to the vast amount of data involved, many existing algorithms are too slow to be used interactively.   As part of a collaborative project with frontmark GmbH, we have developed a new algorithm specifically designed to tackle the performance challenges associated with large graphs. 📈🔍 Our algorithm has been successfully applied to Bitcoin transaction graphs, producing promising results.   We invite you to explore a comprehensive description of our algorithm in the accompanying report: Graph Visualization for Blockchain Data (https://lnkd.in/eMjb_iKk)   But that's not all! We've been very busy in the past few months, improving our products and services by 🔴 adding enhanced in-app push notifications to our web application platform, 💬 adding a feedback dialogue to send text and/or images from within the browser, 🎨 redesigning our frontends (icons, colors, fonts, etc.) to make them more appealing, to just name a few.
