Ruben Rodriguez heard about Fresenius Kabi from a close friend that worked in our production unit in Melrose Park, a suburb of Chicago, U.S., just a few kilometers away from the O’Hare International Airport. The friend expressed how there was opportunity for growth within the company and convinced Ruben to apply for packaging. Ruben started as Packaging Operator, where his main task to keep his line running seamlessly to obtain production goals from his shift while staying compliant with procedures. It didn’t take long for Ruben’s supervisors to recognize his ability to learn quickly and his motivation to take on additional responsibilities. They promoted Ruben to the position to train operators and packers on all workstations. The friend proved right after all about the growth opportunities: Within four and a half years, Ruben went from being a Packaging Operator to Aseptic Filling Operator to Associate Supervisor to being a Supervisor in Packaging. Ruben is proud of his journey within the company: “My motivation to take on this leadership role was to have more impact in production with the set of skills I have acquired through my journey here at Fresenius. Also, I wanted to positively influence others with team members. I had to prove to my peers during my time as an Associate Supervisor that I had the initiative and drive to become a great leader. During this process, I had great mentors, including Mohammed Zafer, Christine Anaya and Kenneth Bland. They would guide me and provide tons of constructive feedback. Acting today for a better tomorrow! 🌎 Since 2019, our Global Competence Cluster for Energy and Water Management has been organizing the Championship Day, an annual idea competition focused on improving our environmental performance by harnessing the collective creativity of our teams worldwide. 💡 This year, some teams generated hundreds of ideas. From these, 80 outstanding proposals from 27 sites all over the world were selected to present to the jury, consisting of Fresenius Kabi board members and seasoned ESG experts. 🌱 Local efforts against extreme forest damage – discover our latest community project. Our team in Germany has embraced the spirit of giving back by supporting the "Wir wollen Wald" (We Want Forest) initiative. We contributed 800 trees to help restore the forest near Kronberg, Germany, close to our headquarters. 🌲🌳 The forests in the Taunus region have suffered severe damage in the past years. Together with the German Forest Youth and the German Forest Protection Association, our colleagues planted the foundation for a climate-resilient forest. This initiative ties to a campaign for the launch of our Fresubin® PLANT-BASED Drink 🍃, a nutritional alternative designed specifically for vegetarians and vegans dealing with malnutrition. Meet Pinsirin Jirabrovonkij, our dynamic product manager for enteral nutrition in Thailand, who kick-starts her day with an Americano with whey protein. ☕ Known for her good spirits, Pinsirin navigates between the office and fieldwork across Bangkok’s hospitals and drugstores. 🏥 "It is my passion to share my knowledge about the importance of enteral nutrition with the healthcare professionals and drugstore staff, and thus play an important role in the recovery of many patients," she shares. Pinsirin thrives on connecting with others, whether she’s strategizing in the office or engaging directly with healthcare professionals. Her days are filled with deep, meaningful conversations about enteral nutrition’s crucial role in patient care. She also demonstrates how Fresenius Kabi’s products integrate into treatment plans, making each hospital visit a moment to build trust and lasting relationships. Pinsirin’s philosophy?
