📣 From September 10th to 12th, Jannik Hasler, Fabian Anderweit, Fabian Kläber and Jiaonan Zhu from the Formel D Germany team attended Automechanika 2024, the leading international trade fair for suppliers in the automotive industry. This massive event brought together over 4,200 companies from 80 countries, showcasing everything from vehicle electrification to connectivity and digitalisation. During the event, we had productive conversations with Chinese OEMs like BYD, Geely, Hongqi, and Avatr, as well as suppliers from all over the world. We focused on promoting our aftersales portfolio, quality support, and storage and compound solutions available at our German locations. We also engaged with BYD’s product managers, discussing how we can support them in aftersales services, supply chain management, and quality and homologation, as they expand into the German and European markets. Exciting News from Formel D Group! 🚀   We are thrilled to announce that Formel D Group, thanks to outstanding relationship with Formeld Germany, has been awarded by BMW AG Munich, Quality Management Parts for Driving Dynamics, a significant new project in Central Eastern Europe (CEE), with the Central QMT-DL-Office CEE located in Trnava, Slovakia.   🌍 Region: Central Eastern Europe (CEE) 🏢 Central QMT-DL-Office CEE location: Trnava, Slovakia   🔧 Our dedicated team of skilled engineers and VDA 6.3 certified auditors at Formel D CEE will be providing comprehensive quality engineering support to BMW from August 2024 onwards. We’ll be responsible for conducting quality audits and problem-solving related activities for their suppliers across CEE.   🌍 This project highlights Formel D CEE’s expertise in supply chain quality and engineering services. It’s a significant milestone in our relationship with a top-tier vehicle manufacturer and a fantastic opportunity for us to demonstrate our commitment to high-quality engineering solutions. Exciting News from BMW Supplier Diversity Day! 🌟🚗   We’re thrilled to share that Formel D had a fantastic experience at BMW Supplier Diversity Day, making a significant impact as a Tier 1 supplier. The event provided a great opportunity to reconnect with BMW Group employees from past collaborations and explore new ways to contribute to the BMW community, including potential future work at BMW Spartanburg. We also had valuable exchanges with other diverse suppliers, competitors, and industry experts.   In addition to networking, Ryan Bergman, Allonne Berry, and Claude Bray - SPHR from our team participated in several insightful breakout sessions. This approach is recognized by the EU under the Corporate Sustainability Reporting Directive (CSRD).   🧭 Our strategy is built around setting science-based targets to limit global warming to 1.5°C, in line with our commitment to Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) 13 (Climate Action) and 7 (Affordable and Clean Energy). We believe in prioritizing avoidance and reduction over mere compensation for emissions. This means integrating climate protection into our existing systems to drive continuous improvement in areas like decarbonization, energy efficiency, and the use of renewable energy.   👥 The Sustainability Committee plays a crucial role in overseeing our climate-related efforts and accelerating our social and governance initiatives.
