    ⚽🚀 "MESSI EFFECT" MECHANISM IN WOMEN'S FOOTBALL? 🎙 I had the pleasure of speaking with John P Reynal, President & CEO of The Women’s Cup, about the transformative power of women’s football and the incredible potential it holds for the future of the sport. 🌍💪 Noticing the "Messi effect" in the United States—from jerseys on every street corner 👕 to even a Messi burger at Hard Rock Cafe 🍔, to sold-out stadiums for his games 🏟️ (just yesterday, the Chicago Fire vs. Inter Miami match at Soldier Field drew a live audience of 55,385)—I was curious how this phenomenon plays out with stars in women’s football, especially when they play their matches in the USA. 🇺🇸 🌟📈 Since Juventus was one of the participants in this year’s The Women’s Cup, I had to ask John how the presence of one of the most followed women’s football players, Alisha Lehmann, who joined Juventus Women this summer, influenced the media coverage and overall buzz around the event. 📸⚽ John shared some fascinating insights: 💬 "Alisha Lehmann had a tremendous impact at the Women's Cup in Louisville. For instance, she posted a photo holding the Women's Cup trophy 🏆, and it garnered over 900,000 likes, a number we've never seen before on any of our posts. The videos featuring her reached over 2-3 million views 🎥, and our platform's growth spiked by more than 30% 📊." He further explained how Alisha Lehmann exemplifies the potential for a "Messi effect" in women's football: 💬 "Just like how Messi's arrival at Inter Miami drastically increased their social media following 📱, Alisha's presence created significant buzz and engagement. While she's not at Messi's level of global stardom, the mechanism is similar—a single star can draw massive attention and bring new audiences to the sport. Many people, especially on the men's side, who weren't very familiar with women's football, knew about Alisha Lehmann.
