That was something very special! At the 2024 Stuttgart International Symposium, physicist and comedian Vince Ebert inspired us with his views and thoughts on what is really important (in life) and made us smile. 😁 The light input was a welcome change during the Symposium and gave the guests energy for the final presentations. He also had a message to share: In order to innovate, we have to take a few risks and be ready to make mistakes. Thanks for the food for thought and laughter!   #stuttgartsymposium #comedy #priorities #norisk #nofun #nosuccess

👉 At the 2024 Stuttgart International Symposium, one highlight follows the other: It continued today with the panel discussion. The participants - Winfried Hermann, Minister of Transport Baden-Württemberg - Arnd Franz, Chairman of the Management Board, MAHLE GmbH - Dr. Lea Schwarz, Head of Development Features and Functions Driving/Energy, AUDI AG - Michael Fleiss, CEO, Aurobay and - Hui Zhang, Group Vice President, NIO contributed with their different perspectives to a lively debate on the topic of "Balancing customer demands and political requirements for mobility - an impossible task?".   Moderated by André Casal Kulzer, Prof. Dr.-Ing., the panelists discussed the currently prevailing demands of customers among which sustainability, safety, affordability and ease of use rank first as well as the challenges that come with increasing traffic. As these demands vary from customer to customer and from country to country multiple solutions must be made available – for the automotive sector and for mobility in general. In doing so, the automotive industry needs a reduction of bureaucracy and a persistent course by politics that allows for agility when developing adequate mobility solutions to fulfill customer demands and to meet sustainability goals.   A big thanks to the participants for bringing in your personal perspective on this matter to make it such an exciting discussion! 🎤🎤🎤   #stuttgartsymposium #paneldiscussion #mobility

The first highlight of the second day of the 2024 Stuttgart International Symposium was the keynote by Arnd Franz, Chairman of the Management Board at Mahle GmbH. 🎤 Speaking on the topic of "The Renaissance of Reliable and Renewable Hybrids” he emphasised the need to reduce emissions, especially as the transport sector is responsible for 15% of global CO₂ emissions. Electric drives still have some challenges to overcome, which is why Mahle is also focusing on other alternatives such as hybrids. Although these need improvement as well, they offer a number of advantages and are very popular in China, for example.   Thank you, Arnd Franz, for these valuable insights!   #stuttgartsymposium #keynote #hybrid

Beach time! After the first day of the 2024 Stuttgart International Symposium with lots of interesting expert presentations and keynotes it was time to change the location for the evening: from the Haus der Wirtschaft to the beach! 🏖 Or to be more precise: Sky Beach! Despite the rain and chilly temperatures, participants enjoyed a relaxed evening above the rooftops of Stuttgart with lots of networking, delicious drinks and good food 🍷🍴🍧… and a little bit of European Football Championship. 😉 Now we are looking forward to the second day of the 2024 Stuttgart International Symposium! #stuttgartsymposium #networking #evening

The exciting conference day continued with the third keynote of the day by Michael Fleiss, CEO of Aurobay. In his presentation entitled "What Powers the Global Mobility of Tomorrow?" he made clear, that it’s not a race between different solutions – it’s a joint effort towards zero emissions. To replace fossil fuels, Aurobay believes that both electric and renewable fuel vehicles are going to be needed. 🎤🚗 Thank you for the valuable insights into your portfolio and the thoughts behind it!   #stuttgartsymposium #keynote #future #mobility

This morning the 2024 Stuttgart International Symposium has officially started! In the Welcome Session moderated by Dr. Lea Schwarz, the board members of FKFS, André Casal Kulzer, Prof. Dr.-Ing., Prof. Hans-Christian Reuss and Prof. Andreas Wagner, welcomed the participants. 🎤   They gave an insight into the current trends in the automotive industry, which will be the focus of the two-day symposium. Prof. Kulzer also pointed out the many exciting program items that the symposium has to offer this year, such as poster sessions, business speed dating, a hands-on workshop, a comedy act by Vince Ebert, and the soccer lounge in the spirit of the European Football Championship. ⚽   🎞 This was followed by a digital greeting from Dr. Nicole Hoffmeister-Kraut, Minister for Economic Affairs, Labour and Tourism of the State of Baden-Württemberg, in which she emphasized the importance of the automotive industry for the state of Baden-Württemberg. According to her, due to long-term structural challenges, many companies are in crisis, which makes innovative approaches and platforms such as the Symposium even more important for sharing and discussing these issues and coming up with solutions.   We are now excited for the conference program to start!   #stuttgartsymposium #automotive #conference #welcome
