The Goethe-Institut e.V. in New York is in the midst of an UMBAU so the UMBAU exhibition by gmp von Gerkan, Marg and Partners Architects can be opened on October 9 at 6:30 pm. With the opening of the new Metro in Sydney, it’s timely to flick back to the last major transport infrastructure project to open in the city: the Light Rail 🚋 . Lighting can make or break the transit experience: it gives direction, makes spaces feel safe and welcoming, ensures signage can be located and read, and accentuates the architecture. Lacquerware of East Asia (Korea, Japan and China) This 2024 special exhibition is a lacquerware theme at the National Museum of Korea. Lacquerware is a representative craft of Asia - where all three participating countries showcased their perfected distinctive styles of lacquerware respectively. 💡 Illuminating the historical pieces in all its glory, Axis luminaires could express the lacquerware’s natural wood color without any glare and with minimal heat emission. All this, while still ensuring sufficient illumination. Highlighting the flexibility of #Axis, ERCO ensured that light distribution was varied according to the size of the artifacts and relics.
