KOSTAL awarded the ENX Vehicle Cybersecurity Certificate KOSTAL Automobil Elektrik GmbH & Co. KG is the first company to successfully complete an audit in accordance with the ENX Association's new Vehicle Cybersecurity Audit Mechanism (ENX VCS). The certificate serves as proof of an effectively implemented Vehicle Cybersecurity Management System (V-CSMS). The KOSTAL Group is an internationally active family business headquartered in Lüdenscheid, Germany. The KOSTAL Automotive Elektrik division develops and produces power electronics for electromobility, control units for comfort functions, integrated steering column modules and operating elements ranging from classic switches to touch displays for all the world's leading car manufacturers. KOSTAL recognized early on that cyber security is an increasingly important topic that requires attention. In an exemplary collaboration, KOSTAL, the experts from TÜV NORD CERT and ENX set up and carried out the first pilot project for auditing the cybersecurity management system in accordance with ENX VCS. The ENX VCS certificate has now been presented in Lüdenscheid to honor KOSTAL for its pioneering commitment. Automotive manufacturers are increasingly demanding proof of proper cybersecurity management from their suppliers. With the ENX Vehicle Cyber Security Audit, automotive suppliers can provide standardized and recognized proof that an effective Vehicle Cybersecurity Management System (V-CSMS) has been implemented in accordance with the ISO/PAS 5112 and ISO/SAE 21434 guidelines and that all necessary processes are in place to manage the risks associated with increasing digitalization in the automotive industry. Our sincere thanks go to the entire team at KOSTAL, whose dedication has helped to make the ENX VCS approach available to the entire industry.
