Behind the scenes: our ESG Bootcamp in Munich 🚀 This week, our remote-working ESG team gathered in Munich for a multi-day bootcamp. For some of us, it was the first time meeting in person, which made the event even more special. We focused on strengthening connections among team members, introducing new processes, optimizing our workflows, and building new team structures to support Envoria’s rapid growth. Important changes to the German Supply Chain Due Diligence Act (LkSG) ⚠️ According to the CSRD information paper from the Federal Ministry of Justice and a new draft law from the Federal Government on the LkSG (Article 3), the Supply Chain Due Diligence Act will be amended due to duplication with CSRD reporting obligations and the upcoming CSDDD. An overview of the most important measures: 𝗥𝗲𝗹𝗶𝗲𝗳 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝘀𝘂𝘀𝘁𝗮𝗶𝗻𝗮𝗯𝗶𝗹𝗶𝘁𝘆 𝗿𝗲𝗽𝗼𝗿𝘁𝘀 The draft law enables companies subject to the LkSG reporting obligation to replace their reports with a sustainability report in accordance with the German Commercial Code. This significantly reduces the scope of reporting for many companies. Parent companies that have to add a group sustainability report to their group management report can also use this report as a substitute. These reports must be made publicly available free of charge on the company website for seven years at the latest one year after the end of the financial year. 𝗘𝘅𝘁𝗲𝗻𝗱𝗲𝗱 𝗱𝗲𝗮𝗱𝗹𝗶𝗻𝗲 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝗟𝗸𝗦𝗚 𝗿𝗲𝗽𝗼𝗿𝘁𝘀 Companies do not have to submit their LkSG reports for the 2023 financial year until December 31, 2025. 𝗔𝘃𝗼𝗶𝗱𝗮𝗻𝗰𝗲 𝗼𝗳 𝗱𝗶𝘀𝗽𝗿𝗼𝗽𝗼𝗿𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝗮𝘁𝗲 𝗯𝘂𝗿𝗱𝗲𝗻𝘀 The German government's growth initiative plans to implement the European Supply Chain Directive (CSDDD) with as little bureaucracy as possible by amending the LkSG. I work with great people in a company with a very pleasant, productive working atmosphere. I can focus on the things that are important, question issues, and work on solutions when problems arise. What I appreciate about my colleagues is that they consider structural quality to be just as important as I do and are always open to new ideas. 🏅 If you could choose one superpower, which one would it be? If I could, I would like to have three: one that could eliminate all the unfairness in the world and make the world a little better.
