🔈 In-mold Electronics #IME: Tackling Ink Compatibility and Drying Challenges In-mold electronics (IME) has revolutionized the manufacturing landscape by seamlessly integrating IMD (in-mold decoration) and printed electronics technology. However, the intricate multilayer structure of IMD and conductive inks poses unique challenges that can hinder production efficiency and product quality. Our application technology lab has embarked on a comprehensive research initiative to optimize IME manufacturing processes. Our findings underscore the critical role of ink compatibility and drying optimization: 🔸 Ink Compatibility: Careful selection of IMD and conductive inks is paramount to prevent compatibility issues like poor wetting, ink delamination, or compromised conductivity. 🔸 Drying Optimization: Proper drying between printing layers is essential to ensure complete ink adhesion, prevent resistance variations, and eliminate solvent residues that could lead to long-term performance degradation. What an amazing evening: The Sunset Run in Hamburg! 🏃♂️ 🏃♀️ We enjoyed to have taken part in this fantastic event with five teams and 20 motivated runners. The route was a 5 km circuit through the grounds of the Wilhelmsburg Island Park in Hamburg. Each team did the course four times as a relay, with even our trainees forming their own relay team – it was a real highlight! ☀️ The weather was perfect, and the sporting atmosphere was rounded off by a get-together with food and drinks.
