A day dedicated to our health! 🌱💪 On Thursday, 19 September 2024, our Health Day took place in collaboration with the Techniker Krankenkasse (TK), which was fully dedicated to stress management and relaxation. As part of our health partnership with TK, we used the day to raise awareness of how to deal with stress and to provide our colleagues with practical techniques for relaxation. 💚 What happened exactly? ✨ In short lectures we learned how to recognise stress signals faster and how to cope with them better using practical tips. 🧘♂️ Mindfulness workshops provided space for relaxation and inner peace – exactly what you often forget in your daily work. ❤️ A real highlight: the cardio stress test! Here we were able to measure our personal stress level and learn how our hearts react to stress. Of course, healthy food and drinks were also provided – with smoothies, fresh snacks and an extra energy kick for everyone. But our commitment to health does not end with a single day! Our occupational health and safety management system has been certified by TÜV Nord as compatible with the requirements of the new ISO 45001. This demonstrates that we effectively integrate occupational health and safety procedures into our business practices. For example, each execution order is accompanied by a comprehensive HSE (Health, Safety, Environment) plan that aims to ensure safety, health and environmental protection. In addition, measures such as last-minute risk analyses are used to minimise risks directly before the start of work. We also focus on ergonomic workplace design with height-adjustable desks and ergonomic chairs. Regular health promotion programmes such as online trainings, digital health weeks or massages help our colleagues to stay healthy and fit. 💼💪 A very big thank you to all the participants and our health partner, the Techniker Krankenkasse – in particular Timo Ulrich, who supported us throughout the day. 🙌 We are already looking forward to next year and further collaboration for our health. 💙

The Dinslaken Wood Energy Centre is an example of how waste wood can be converted into usable energy in an effective and environmentally friendly way. It thus makes a significant contribution to the decarbonisation of the region and shows what sustainable energy generation could look like in the future. Today was a very special day, as the commissioning of the Dinslaken Wood Energy Center (DHE) was celebrated on the site of the new facility. Numerous high-ranking guests from politics and business, including Mona Neubaur, Minister for Economic Affairs, Industry, Climate Protection and Energy of the state of North Rhine-Westphalia, were attending. Together with the DHE, Doosan Lentjes celebrated this important milestone on the path to CO2 neutrality, which the City of Dinslaken is aiming for by 2045. Doosan Lentjes was awarded the contract to build Lot 1 (firing, boiler and flue gas cleaning) of the new waste wood incineration plant in 2020. The turnkey contract included the delivery, installation and commissioning of two incineration process lines that thermally treat 190,000 tons of waste wood annually. This will save over 125,000 tons of CO2 per year. We are proud to be part of this sustainable project and to contribute to a greener future for Dinslaken and beyond.

Stolzenburg succeeds Gerhard Lohe, who has held various management positions at Doosan Lentjes for more than 20 years and will continue to support the company in an advisory capacity. Summer party vibes at Doosan Lentjes! Last week it was finally time again and we took the opportunity to celebrate together in the best weather! There were some very special highlights: As part of the European Men's Football Championships, our management had invited everyone to a joint betting game. Our colleagues Tomas Avakian, Dr. Ferdinand Krüll and Kisoon Park proved to have the best intuition and got the first three places. At the summer party, they were officially honoured and received budgets that Doosan Lentjes will donate to a charitable, non-political organisation of their choice. In culinary terms, the summer party was also entirely dedicated to the European Championships: delicious specialities from Spain - the country that won the cup - awaited the colleagues. An all-round successful evening that once again showed that we are a great team! 😉

Another milestone reached at our Indonesian Palu site: commissioning is progressing successfully, with the first of two new CFB boilers having achieved stable load operation and power supply into the island's grid. Many thanks to our dedicated project team for their excellent work! 😊

We are pleased to announce significant progress in our Palu-3 CFB project. Turbine Rolling of unit 1 was successfully performed. The turbine ran stably for 10 minutes at a speed of up to 3000 rpm. It has shown very good controllability and performance. Once completed, the new plant in #Sulawesi, #Indonesia, will make an important contribution to the local energy supply. A big thank you to our highly committed team for their outstanding work! 😊
