𝗔 𝗽𝗮𝗿𝘁𝗻𝗲𝗿𝘀𝗵𝗶𝗽 𝘁𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝘀𝗮𝘃𝗲𝘀 𝗹𝗶𝘃𝗲𝘀 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗺𝗼𝘃𝗲𝘀 𝗵𝗲𝗮𝗿𝘁𝘀. 🚒❤️ Four years ago, Polish firefighters committed to supporting the Fundacja DKMS. What began with firefighter Sławomir Kowalczyk's selfless bone marrow donation has developed into a unique partnership. Since then, hundreds of brave firefighters have scaled Poland's highest peaks every year in full uniform - not for themselves, but to raise awareness of the life-saving power of stem cell donations. Thanks to them, thousands of new potential donors have registered, who may soon save the life of another person. But now the tables have turned: after the disastrous floods in southern Poland, it is the firefighters who need our help. For Fundacja DKMS, there was no question that they would abandon these heroes. Together with the Związek Ochotniczych Straży Pożarnych RP (Association of Volunteer Fire Brigades of the Republic of Poland), 150,000 PLN was donated for urgently needed equipment, which Agnieszka Wodzińska and her team transported to southern Poland to support the emergency services - because they too are on the front line, fighting to save lives. Working so closely and cordially with our partners is something that moves us deeply. We are also particularly proud of the employees of Fundacja DKMS, who have helped with personal donations of items such as rubber boots, cleaning supplies and disinfectants.
