What are the key factors for successful smart, intermodal, and sustainable mobility behaviour? 🚗 🌿 In July, we attended the International Entrepreneurs' Night meets Citizen Mobility, an event hosted by Digital Hub Mobility by UnternehmerTUM and in collaboration with the city of Munich, Stadtwerke München GmbH, BMW Group, Autobahn GmbH, Park und Ride Parkplatz GmbH, Designit and lynes and Nudgd. Together, we aim to connect innovative start-ups, experts, and partners to share ideas and foster global start-up networks, and we're transforming travel routines by encouraging and rewarding intermodal mobility habits. Here are our 5 top key mobility insights from the event ↓ 🚌 Alternative mobility services must be available and high quality. New options, like commuter shuttles, have great potential. 🌐 Reliable data for intermodal travel is crucial. Google Maps provides good traffic info, but live public transit data needs to be improved. 🌿 User preferences vary, but lack of time remains the most significant factor, followed by comfort and cost. Sustainability is only a primary driver for some. 💡 Nudging has potential but isn't enough on its own. Timing and context matter, and behaviour change takes time. 💼 Companies play a key role in changing employee mobility, as do cities and transport providers. Together, we learned that successful sustainable mobility requires high-quality alternatives, reliable travel data, and addressing user priorities. Companies, cities, and strategic nudging are key factors in encouraging behaviour change.
