🌟DERlab Association Annual General Assembly Highlights🌟 On April 18, 2024, the DERlab Association convened its annual General Assembly in a hybrid meeting at NTUA, Athens, Greece. The assembly allowed us to review the association's achievements in advancing the experimental validation of grid and distributed energy technologies, conduct membership votes, assess exciting updates from members’ infrastructures, and deliberate on future international opportunities to further support the energy transition. Key Highlights: 🔹New Board Member: We are delighted to introduce Ms. Aleksandra Dordevic, ESP Laboratory Manager at TUDelft, as our newest board member. 🔹New Members: DERlab proudly welcomes the University of South-Eastern Norway (USN) as a full member, alongside supporting memberships from Democritus University of Thrace - (D.U.Th.), Greece, DNV Netherlands B.V., and Università degli Studi di Genova, Italy. We are pleased to spotlight Roland Bründlinger in our ongoing "Meet IEA PVPS" series. Roland leads the international research efforts as the Task 14 Manager, focusing on the integration of solar PV into 100% renewable energy-based power systems. Roland holds a Master of Science degree in Power Engineering from the Technical University, Graz, Austria, and the Royal Institute of Technology (KTH) in Stockholm. His academic achievements have been foundational for his substantial career in renewable energy research. Since 2001, Roland has been with the Austrian Institute of Technology (AIT) in Vienna, Austria, where he serves as a Senior Research Engineer. At AIT, he is responsible for the qualification testing and conformity assessment of Grid Connected Power Converters at the ISO 17025 accredited AIT SmartEST laboratory. His work primarily focuses on performance analysis and the interaction between inverter-based Distributed Energy Resources (DER), protection schemes, and electricity grids. Roland is also a member of national and international technical committees on Solar PV and DER standardization and sits on the Board of DERlab e.V., the Association of European Laboratories for Distributed Energy Resources. 👏 Join us in celebrating the significant contributions of Roland Bründlinger and stay tuned as we continue to highlight the experts driving the future of photovoltaic technology. #Leadership #Innovation #Photovoltaics
