Julian joined DeepDrive with a solid background in logistics and business operations, kicking off his career at EFG Gienger KG in 2015. His journey took him to the startup SISTEMS, where he broadened his expertise across various business areas. After earning his Bachelor of Professional from the IHK für München und Oberbayern in 2023, Julian's growing interest in e-mobility led him to DeepDrive. At DeepDrive, Julian contributes to the purchasing process for sample parts in the Central Drive and In-Wheel operations, appreciating the chance to work on innovative projects in a supportive and forward-thinking environment. Julian values the company's mission to advance e-mobility and enjoys being part of a team that is making a real impact. It's been a few days since we announced our €30 million Series B funding, and we're absolutely thrilled by the international feedback we've received! 🌍 We're excited to share three major pieces of coverage: 1️⃣ Interview with Reuters – Our Co-CEO Felix spoke with Nick Carey, diving into the impact of DeepDrive’s Dual Rotor electric motors. Felix highlighted how our motors use half the magnets, 80% less iron, and take up 50% less space while offering 20% more range compared to current models. This innovation not only reduces costs by around 30% but also helps automakers either extend range or shrink batteries—addressing two critical challenges in the EV market. 2️⃣ Handelsblatt – Another fantastic piece from our interview with Handelsblatt's Chefkorrespondent Markus Fasse! Kilian, who studied Mechanical Engineering at Technical University of Munich for both his Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees, started at TUfast e.V. Racing Team by leading the design of suspension systems. During the pandemic, he also discovered a passion for software development while handling the team's software engineering. After completing his studies, he joined embotech and contributed to BMW Group’s autonomous driving technology. Now, at DeepDrive, Kilian manages CAN communication and fleet monitoring, enjoying the dynamic team spirit and variety of tasks that keep him engaged. Polina is one of our dedicated working students at DeepDrive. She started her academic journey with a Bachelor's in Management and Technology at Technical University of Munich and is now close to completing her Master's with a focus on Power Engineering and Entrepreneurship. At university, she also launched a new student initiative focusing on collaboration in the field of renewable energies. She gained valuable experience at Deloitte and PwC. Now, at DeepDrive, Polina works in the operations team with Rainer, focusing on project management and improving processes in a fast-paced environment. Polina enjoys the open culture and young, talented team at DeepDrive. For the very first time, at this conference, the results of Shafigh Nategh's comprehensive study on motor topologies in the passenger car EV segment will be presented publicly to a distinguished audience of industry leaders. This study compares various motor topologies currently available on the market, focusing on key attributes such as efficiency, cost, sustainability, weight, and performance. It offers valuable insights into how our Dual Rotor motor technology measures up against other options. We are proud and humbled that our technology has been highlighted as a leading solution for EVs in this significant study. We recently organised a BBQ event to celebrate and support TUfast e.V. Racing Team, the student motorsport team of Technical University of Munich, as they prepared for their final competition of the season, FSG. The event took place from 11th to 18th August. TUfast holds a special place in our hearts, marking the beginning of our journey. It’s where most of our founders met a decade ago and where many of our team members come from.   The BBQ at the TUfast workshop was a fantastic opportunity to reconnect with the team, enjoy great food, boost spirits before the competition, and get an exciting preview of their new car.   Additionally, we gifted the team some stylish branded caps, which not only offer sun protection but also come in handy during those busy competition days when there's no time for hair styling.   #DeepDriveRide

Martin joined us after working for 20 years at Continental, where he advanced automotive technology. At Continental, he started in technical support and quickly rose to team and department lead, managing test specifications, data analysis, and requirement management across multiple locations. Seeking a return to more hands-on technical work, Martin found our environment and team expertise very appealing. At DeepDrive, he focuses on planning and setting up machinery and automation for production, managing high voltage testing, ensuring compliance with standards, and coordinating with suppliers.
