Free mentoring sessions for women by women in tech.

Info

With CoffeeCodeBreak we aim to make it as easy as possible for women in tech to access mentoring and a female network. We strive to make women in tech more visible and thus provide more recognized role models. CoffeeCodeBreak started with Carolyn, who found herself in the situation of excessively listening to podcasts to figure out how other women had dealt with tough situations at work. Aware of her lack of real mentors, she started looking for females to connect with. During her research she came across exclusive networks with application and mentor-mentee-matching processes in order to have a chat with another female in the tech sector. While these networks have their unique benefits, none of them were what Carolyn was looking for. Therefore she decided to build her own platform. A platform where every woman can easily book free mentoring sessions with another female of her choice who has at least two years of experience in tech.

How do the upcoming World Product Day and the topic of mentoring go together? 🤔 …perhaps not at first glance but when one of our former mentors Merissa Silk asked CCB for a collaboration connecting exactly those two topics, we of course said “yes” immediately! Why? Well, first of all because we appreciate those kinds of opportunities to promote the concept and added value of mentoring. And secondly, we’re super happy that Merissa reached out again after a first amazing and successful collaboration in January this year, where she decided to dedicate one of the volunteering days provided by her employer to offer mentoring sessions for #womenintech (amazing!). 🙌💚 So, this time we’re basically following the same approach but we’re levelling up! What does that mean? Merissa will use the World Product Day next Wednesday, May 15th as an occasion to again offer mentoring sessions over the CCB platform - only this time it won’t only be her but about 10 other women working in the field of product development! Which also means a higher availability aka more slots for you to fill! How cool is that? 🎉 So, how can you book a session? Very simple! Visit the CoffeeCodeBreak website, look for a mentor profile that resonates with you and book your slot for May 15th aka the above mentioned World Product Day (𝐟𝐨𝐫 𝐦𝐨𝐫𝐞 𝐝𝐞𝐭𝐚𝐢𝐥𝐬, 𝐜𝐡𝐞𝐜𝐤 𝐨𝐮𝐭 𝐌𝐞𝐫𝐢𝐬𝐬𝐚'𝐬 𝐩𝐨𝐬𝐭 𝐛𝐞𝐥𝐨𝐰👇). 📆 Not sure which topics to address? These can basically be anything ranging from a potential career change (into tech) or simply getting another perspective and input on a professional challenge that you’re currently facing. And of course, you can use this unique opportunity to deep-dive into the topic of product management.💡 Curious now? Well, you’re just a few clicks away from an inspiring conversation, so don’t be shy ;)

🎉 𝑳𝒆𝒕'𝒔 𝒄𝒐𝒏𝒕𝒊𝒏𝒖𝒆 𝒕𝒉𝒆 𝒄𝒆𝒍𝒆𝒃𝒓𝒂𝒕𝒊𝒐𝒏 𝒕𝒉𝒊𝒔 𝒘𝒆𝒆𝒌! 🎉 Four years ago, we founded the official CoffeeCodeBreak non-profit organization, and we're incredibly proud of our journey since then. Not only are we constantly welcoming new mentors who beautifully represent various branches of the tech world, but the number of mentoring sessions is also steadily increasing. Our organization was born out of a desire for a mentoring platform with low entry barriers and inspiring female role models. It's fulfilling to see that we're filling this void for many women in the tech sector or those interested in it. We envision a society where women are unquestionably on equal footing and are trailblazing developers of technology and innovation. We are very grateful for all our mentors and supporters who are helping bring this vision to life, one session at a time. Thank you for your ongoing dedication and support!
