    With the US Open finals coming up this weekend, have you ever wondered what a tennis ball looks like without the outer fuzzy felt? Without this felt the ball will lose its aerodynamic properties, but thankfully in this case we have just digitally removed it. This video, collected on a ZEISS VersaXRM, shows a 'bald' tennis ball with the felt digitally removed - all that remains is a small section of felt (pink), imaged at 3.73 μm resolution, with individual fibres clearly observed.
