Last week, our ‘Business Administration in Foreign Trade’ trainees received their certificates in Hamburg's “Speicherstadt”. In the six-semester (additional) training programme at the Berufliche Schule Am Lämmermarkt, our young professionals acquire additional skills in the areas of business, law, human resources and communication. The two-week ‘Export and Foreign Trade’ certificate programme in London is also very popular. This training gives our trainees a perfect start to their careers, as all graduates have the opportunity to obtain a Bachelor's degree after a further three semesters. We congratulate them warmly and are delighted for all the graduates, who are now starting their careers at Biesterfeld. A few days ago, our colleagues from the Nutrition team had the great pleasure of hosting our partner, Nouryon, a global specialty chemicals leader, at our headquarters in Hamburg. Our long-standing partner INEOS Olefins & Polymers Europe recently announced the successful commissioning of a new multilayer blown film line with machine direction orientation at its research and development center in Brussels. Our colleagues were among the first visitors and were deeply impressed by the new line.   The new pilot line aims to develop recyclable flexible packaging films that can replace difficult-to-recycle multi-material packaging films. "This innovative facility offers great opportunities for our customers," explains Marco Hariri, Sustainability Specialist at Biesterfeld. "In collaboration with INEOS, our customers can carry out full-scale tests without losing production capacity on their own lines. ✨ International Sales Meeting 2024 ✨ This week our International Sales Meeting for team Life Science, Essentials and Healthcare took place in Hamburg. It was an excellent opportunity to meet our international colleagues in person and work together on our goals. Key topics included strategic digital initiatives, technological innovations, supply chain analysis and various market analyses. It was an incredibly exciting two days at the Sales Partner Days of our long-standing partner Dymax, two weeks ago.
