☀ We are happy to provide an update on the progress of our Nijarmar solar PV project in Andalusia, Spain. With an installed capacity of 25 MW it is expected to be operational in the second half of 2025.   🔋 We are already working on the hybridisation of this solar PV park with the aim of co-locating a BESS system to optimise the use of the interconnection point and provide an additional source of value through services provided to the grid. 🗝 Andalusia is a key region for Aquila Clean Energy in Spain. Its abundant sunshine makes it an ideal location for our renewable energy initiatives. To date, we have successfully brought more than 230 megawatts (MW) into commercial operation in the region and are currently actively working on the development and construction of a further 1.1GW in Andalusia. As part of our commitment to ESG and to leaving a positive impact in the communities where we operate, we have signed an agreement with the town council of Muelas del Pan, one of the locations where we are currently developing a 100 MW solar PV project in Spain. Through this agreement, we are contributing to the restoration of the Cristo de San Esteban chapel. This landmark is of great importance to the community, and we are pleased to play a part in its preservation. At Aquila Clean Energy we have also been actively involved in various initiatives to promote social development in the region: - 📚 Training activities focused on employment for local residents. - 🌱 Environmental education workshops to raise awareness and promote sustainable practices among children. We are happy to share that our construction portfolio now exceeds 500 MW across 15 projects! ☀ 🌬 As of today these construction projects, which are owned by Aquila Clean Energy and its business partners, are located in Lithuania, Spain and Portugal and comprise both, solar PV and wind energy. Aquila Clean Energy has (co-)developed and is managing procurement, engineering and construction on these projects with our local teams. In parallel to construction, our development and engineering teams are already working on realising these projects’ hybridisation potential where possible to maximise project and portfolio efficiency. We are targeting further construction volume growth in the second half of 2024, also bringing stand-alone BESS projects in Germany and Finland into the mix. 🔋 Aquila Clean Energy is dedicated to a sustainable future.
