And at the same time companies struggle with finding overarching Diversity, Equity and Inclusion actions that are authentic and inclusive of the entire organization. 💡 And this is where voluteering LGBTQ Employee Resource Groups (ERGs) can provide a safe space for community awareness and solidarity and have a huge impact in advocating for inclusive policies and drive positive change within the organizations. Objectives include ending gender-based violence, challenging gender stereotypes, closing gender gaps in the labour market, pay and pension gaps and achieving gender balance in decision-making and in politics. 📚 Sexuality Education: The discussion about the extent to which sex and relationship education should be implemented in each member state and the introduction of an educational framework. Guided by one of our core Apryl values, "Stronger Together," these three days exemplified what creating meaningful work through teamwork means at Apryl. 🌏 With our team comprising multiple nationalities and backgrounds (🇳🇱🇮🇳🇨🇳🇧🇬🇩🇪🇧🇷), it was incredibly enriching to take the time to understand everyone's cultures and perspectives. Together, we explored Berlin's international and artistic side and were mesmerized by the beauty of the Spree. We also embraced our inner foodies, enjoying a variety of cuisines from China, Morocco, India, Vietnam... The days were filled with activities that brought us together, celebrated our diversity, and helped us understand how we work as individuals and as a team. 🌟 The highlight was the "How to Work with Me" workshop led by Jenny and Tobias. Inspired by the post from Severin Hacker, each of us reflected on and presented our personalities and working styles, focusing on how to interact with us, how we think, and who we are as individuals. The workshop was incredibly insightful and allowed us to be vulnerable, ultimately bringing us closer as a team.

As she researched women's fertility and learned that the number of eggs decreases with each new decade of life, and her fertility anxiety grew. In fact, due to her young age doctors were able to retrieve about 25 eggs from her - more than double the average retrieval. And she's not alone. Although 25 may seem young to be worried about their fertility, the Gen Z study we conducted also shows that almost half of young people between the ages of 16 and 24 also have 'fertility anxiety'. For Gen Zs, infertility is less of a taboo subject and more and more celebrities and women with large followings on social media are talking openly about their own experiences with fertility, contributing to this trend. 🤳 𝘉𝘶𝘵 𝘪𝘴 𝘪𝘵 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘤𝘢𝘴𝘦 𝘵𝘩𝘢𝘵 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘺𝘰𝘶𝘯𝘨𝘦𝘳 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘣𝘦𝘵𝘵𝘦𝘳 𝘌𝘨𝘨 𝘍𝘳𝘦𝘦𝘻𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘪𝘴? 👩⚕️ Clinical experts believe that you should not rush into freezing your eggs unless you have a chronic illness or a serious medical condition that could affect your fertility in your 20s. However, it is important that you are aware of the different options and whether it is financially feasible for you, and that you know your own medical and family history to plan your own fertility journey. 📣 For all the young women out there, this means it's not necessarily true that egg freezing is better the younger you are.     Women's Health at Longevity Week Berlin! 🌟 During the Longevity Week Berlin last week, there was an insightful panel discussion on women's health: 🌺 Women's health needs to be considered holistically as it is driven by hormonal cycles. This also applies to individual health issues during the reproductive or menopausal period. Quoting Audrey Tsang “You are unqiue, but you are not alone.” 📊 Women are underrepresented in parts of clinical research design, which has resulted in gaps within gender health data and therefore lack of understanding of how women's reproductive organs influence the prevention, appearance and progression of ageing processes. 🔎 Current technologies like Clue and theblood (by Isabelle G.) open the window of opportunity to gain more insights and information about the female body and women-specific health solutions. This data can be used to focus research more specifically on the correlations of women's health and to find individual solutions. 📚 Stasa Stankovic and Dr. Leoni Matt, MD are advocating for women to get to know their bodies better and take control of their fertility journey sooner rather than later. Education about women's health issues and the provision of essential treatments like hormone replacement therapies are essential to this. Special thanks to Tamara Radaković , MD and Ava Ghaiumy for their effort in organizing and moderating! During the startup side-event at the Google offices, our founder Jenny also presented Apryl alongside other startups working on health and longevity.
