We are excited to be part of Heilbronn Slush'D! Visit our booth on October 24th, 2024, where we'll showcase the latest innovations in analog computing.
We look forward to connecting, having inspiring conversations, and driving innovation forward together. Let’s shape the future!
The future of #AI is #analog. Come to EXPO ONE / Booth 9 at Heilbronn Slush'D this Thursday where Lars Heimann and I will show you an electrical #Neuron which you can take in your hands. The future made by anabrid GmbH is analog and for us, AI is only the beginning.
Great work done by a great group of people! We at anabrid GmbH are excited to provide our customers with the lucidac platform. As a first of its kind it enables analog computing that is entirely controlled and configured via a digital computer. Thereby, it forms the basis of an analog-digital hybrid computer.
What will it enable you to do? Just to name a few examples...
Experiment with open- and closed-loop sensor actuator systems, feeding analog sensory data directly into an analog computation. The results of such computations can then be used on both, the analog and digital part of this hybrid system.
Explore the possibilities of fast-pace reconfigurable analog circuits, data gathering, e.g., statistics over many realizations or scanning entire parameter spaces without the need to manually rewiring the analog circuit.
Need more analog computing power? No problem, lucidac systems can be interconnected with each other and thereby increase the number of available computing elements!
You are new to the analog-computing paradigm? Implement your first analog computing circuits on your brand-new lucidac and evaluate the results seamlessly on your digital machine.
...and there is more to come! Due to its modular architecture the lucidac may soon be available in different configurations, serving as a test-bed platform for unconventional computing architectures, such as oscillator-based computing, reservoir and neuromorphic computing. We even asked ourselves, whether there could be such a thing as distributed analog-computing... However, we'll take it step-by-step!

We are pleased to announce the promotion of Dr. Lucas Wetzel to the position of Chief Scientific Officer at anabrid GmbH. In his new role, Dr. Wetzel will oversee projects and provide scientific leadership, leveraging his expertise to advance our mission.
Dr. Wetzel's previous role as a group leader at the Max Planck Institute for the Physics of Complex Systems provided him with invaluable experience that has shaped his approach to research and innovation. His transition from academia to anabrid has been marked by a deep commitment to advancing our vision and furthering our mission.
Dr. Wetzel will work with our skilled engineering and scientific teams to advance our objective of developing the first truly integrated analog computing platform, which will combine multiple unconventional computing approaches in a single processor. We are enthusiastic about the forthcoming journey and anticipate the remarkable achievements to come.

Look at this beautiful butterfly. Or is it simply a snapshot of the new Star Wars ® movie coming soon ? Or is it just art ? Or could it be finally even a kind of new living being ? 😀

The application note #28 has now been greatly expanded and now covers the scaling process in detail. So if you want to go deeper into the matter and want to see a detailed description of how to scale such an equation system to work with it on an analog computer, this is an absolute must read.
