Okay, how about Decimator Smith from the Black Pulp anthology as a character.He's someone who could rival Doc Savage and The Shadow!
Just looked into that one- I need to get a copy of that anthology! Looks like a fun character to start out with the Thrilling Sports Story genre, but would easily branch out from there. Thanks for the suggestion!
